it's tough getting used to afgter all the years of mouse clickinng the action bar. Funny thing, it was hard going back to that playing SWTOR. You get used to it.
At least for me, I got used to it pretty quickly. And I have been playing WoW and tab target games for a long time almost exclusively. I simply love the way that TERA controls. I use keyboard and mouse. Left and right clicking are a major part of the game (main attack and block at least for Berserker).

I can say that if your a clicker and you cant adapt to keybinds, you are going to be at a HUGE disadvantage. Not saying it can't be done. But if you do, people will notice and you will probably be removed from groups.
They do have controller compatability though and you may want to look into that.
"In the immediate future, we have this one, and then weve got another one that is actually going to be so were going to have, what we want to do, is in January, what were targeting to do, this may or may not happen, so you cant hold me to it. But what were targeting to do, is have a fun anniversary to the Ilum shenanigans that happened. An alien race might invade, and they might crash into Ilum and there might be some new activities that happen on the planet." ~Gabe Amatangelo
It does take a little time to get used to but it wasn't as bad as I expected. I use the keyboard setup where you aim, pan around and shoot with the mouse and then move and use skills with your fingers mostly over the WASD keys and the numbers and f-keys right over them. It is not so bad, and I have absolutely no skills at twitch games. My sons used to humiliate me at Halo.
It might seem like a strange and unnecessary setup at first but it makes some sense. It is intended to be roughly similar to how a gamepad controls a game and what a game bad can do with two joysticks that most mmos can't do with a single mouse is control your camera and movement independently and simultaneously. You do need to be able to move in one direction while you pan the camera to your target either behind your or beside you. This allows you to easily circle your opponent while firing on them.
I would say, give it a try, you might really like it. But at this point you do need to pay for the box to try it out so that is up to you. If you have the cash to spare and are willing to gamble with possibly not liking the game then the best way to find out is to simply try. Otherwise I am sure there will be a trial version available within a few months.

too funny. I may rebind my f keys to others, they are so small.

it's the F keys which drive me nuts.
you can hit alt and still click NPC's to talk to them, just so you know.
Also you could rebind the F key.
I really like how they did the NPC chat with the F key, it does not mater how many people are around an NPC you can still walk right up and chat to the npc.
I have the Logitech G15 keyboard. I suppose I can rebind commands to the macro keys?
That would be cool :-D I'm a bit jellous.
My buddy has a 15 button mouse hes using for TERA, Wish I had one of those too! lol
I've been using a controller AND A mouse and keyboard, depending on what I'm doing in game at the time. I use a PS3 Controller.. as the game fully supports it... which I was really impressed by this fact.

interesting, was never a controller guy, but I will look into that. Thanks for the tip!
I never clicked in any mmorpgs i played o.o i never understood why you would click but i guess everyone have different play style XD I don't think it e that hard, honestly pretty easy, hot keys are so much faster than clicking. And after you use them for a while you pretty much remember what key is what. I know i do and its a pain when i have to changes the keys around and takes forever to get used to XD

If you can't adapt to use keybinds, I fear you will be at great disvantage.
a clicker as in you click your action bar?
That is impossible with the way TERA is designed...
You'll have to learn how to play a different way, either controller, or some form of mouse and keyboard.
I've heard some people put move forward as left mouse click and move back and right mouse click, delegating every other ability to the keyboard.

If i had not a g700 as mouse it would be a big problem playing for me.
With 10 buttons on mouse + a shift as modifier and some keyboard keys, i'm doing fine.
Thanks folks, Im happy to see some people still give honest answers and dont just try and flame

It did take me a while to get used to the mouse But I can't see myself without it now especially for MMOs.
