Who didn't pre-purchase?

jdreamjdream Member UncommonPosts: 80

I was really excited about guildwar 2 at first but more and more I know about the game there are many turn off for me

one thing is there too few skills to use and I hate it if they force me to change weapon type if I want more skill to use

the game look like easy mode no need to remember how some skills work or key binds anything

and WvW are going to be zerg fest everyone run with so many ppl around them. some love it and called epic battle

but for me they loved it cos they can play pvp(zerg) and feel they're safe cos enymy didnt target them or if enemy focus on them

they can just run to mob of ppl and they will get help

pardon me for my english :)

    have not pre-ordered..

but i have been in the beta test for a bit now and decided that the game is not good enough to spend £50 on... not saying its bad but its nothing super special..

Tho each to their own im sure people will love the game and i may pick it up when i see it on sale at some point..

i didn't but if they can pull off WvWvW without the lagfest I'm expecting it to be then i may just purchase the game. I will check out the game at a friends house to see the other aspects of the game that kinda caught my eye.

I didn't pre-purchase or pre-order or pre-wetmyself... This game loooks intriguing but I will wait to actually give it a go before I decide. I want it to do well but meh, I am not all that excited...

That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!

I haven't because I really don't understand why anyone would pay for something that they haven't tried.

Of course, beta starts in 270 minutes, so I may well buy the game afterwards. I'm in no rush.

    This.

If they can do massive PvP without massive Lag then I'm game. If not then the game is pretty much useless, the shining point of this game is PvP. Lets hope they pull it off.

    (Dynamic quests don't interest me.)

Did not purchase, but keeping an eye on it to see if it will be worth a purchase in the future.  I've heard both good and bad things from people who have played it.  I'll be playing TERA with Diablo 3 as my fall-back game.  After I finish D3, GW2 may possibly replace that as my fall back game if I hear enough good things about it from people I trust.

    Don't play then.

Same. I'm hoping for steady iprovement. Sort of a lucky advantage some have had, see it for free and decide vs paying $60 sight unseen. I'm still hopeful though...

They are sold out anyway, collectors edition is all they have left available.

No pre-purchase for me, this weekend for me is the Tera headstart. I'm sure when GW2 releases I will purchase and play it since it is B2P. This weekend however for me is all about Tera. I am looking forward to hearing people impresions on GW2 on monday though.

Ok. I've got some time to kill before beta starts. First and foremost I would say that all of your  concerns can be considered valid concerns. If the lack of usable skills is an issue for you then yes this game may not be what your looking for. It's not banking on having 20+ skills of which you use 3-5 on a regular basis. It wants you to think about what your going to be doing ahead of time  and equip properly. Also, WvWvW being Zerg fest. Yeah, I am sure it will happen more often then not. However if there are a few things the videos have taught me, it's that there are so many different objectives that need to be dealt with that one group of people running around will make it impossible for them to be effective in doing anything other then killing the couple of players they come against. They will be easily out done by the smaller groups running around taking points and holding keeps. A few defenders can hold off even the largest unorganized Zerg.

Lastly however, if this whole thing is nothing more then a troll post ment to start some hate going on beta day, Then more power to you and yours. I hope you guys will be able to keep busy.

I'm sorry but the only one saying anything about the second coming is you. Fans of a game accept its flaws and strengths.

I never got into GW1.  So, I haven't pre-purchased GW2.  I do hope it does well and has enough significant changes and improvements that the rest of the industry takes notice and follows suit.  But, I hope that every new Triple-A title does so.  Too many people get hyped up on the game that they wish to be "The Next Big Thing."  As long as any title coming out makes improvements on the genre, then the genre will keep growing and improving.

Only exception I've witnessed is SW:TOR, it seemed to take the idea of a predominantly multiplayer genre and turn it into a single player game...granted, it is a nice single player game.

nope, dont understand the "Wars" on this product at all

to me its like ,theres a button "join pillow fight"

pillow fight has rules made by anet ,cant harm anyone and nobody cant harm me,then i can leave pillow fight and go back and leave and go back, and its war, pretty much like SWTOR but atleast they had somekind of world PvP ,but with weird pillow fight rules.

I didn't. Not because I hate the game or want it to fail, but because I truly didn't see anything that jumped out and screamed "you want to play me!".

Meh, just one of those things, I guess.

I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
