The CoC is up on the official beta forums as well as a post about cash shop gems for the beta event.

There's no NDA.. so I suppose I can repost it here. I assume the orange text is to test their system.
Free Gems for Every Beta Player
Each account that participates in the Beta Weekend Event is eligible to receive 2,000 free gems that they can use on whatever they like in our in-game Gem Store during the weekend.
To redeem your gems, just follow these steps
Log in to Guild Wars 2 once the Beta Weekend Event has begun
(April 27-29, 2012).
Open the Gem Store through the commerce icon on the upper left corner of your screen, or by pressing the “O” key on the keyboard.
Select the link labeled “Get More Gems” in the Gem Store.
Select the Beta Special option.
Enter your valid credit card information – don’t worry, you won’t be charged!
Confirm the transaction. A hold of $/£1 may be placed on your card, but you will not be charged.
Spend your gems on any items in the Gem Store, or trade them for gold through the in-game currency exchange.
Each account that participates in the Beta Weekend Event is eligible to receive 2,000 free gems that they can use on whatever they like in our in-game Gem Store during the weekend.
Each Guild Wars 2 account is eligible to redeem free gems only once during the Beta Weekend Event. Gems redeemed during the Beta Weekend Event are for use during the event only and will not carry over into the game after launch.
You won't be charged, it's obviously to test their system.

Yeah, but it's harmless. More of a test of the system start to finish at no actual cost to you. Been there, done that, went without issues.

Yeah I agree though, but then I'd like to know what exactly I'd use them on besides server xfer and I don't think I'll want to server xfer this weekend.
I really hope that there is a PayPal option as well.
Get an extra bag slot or two, maybe a pack of mini-pets to try them out. Grab a few keys in case a mystic chest drops.

Same... I'm actually thinking about holding off. I don't need anything out of the cash shop. I might change my mind , though.

If they're willing to get all contemporary by using Facebook and Twit for so much of their comms, I hope they will do likewise with the payment options. I'm not concerned for my credit card information really, I just want the convenience. But hey, the fewer places my CC information appears on the internet, the better.

Well, in my country there aren't all that much people with a credit card. We normally use our bank cards, and if we want to use American services we use PayPal. And, I don't have a Credit Card either.
Yeah, I just wish they gave me the gems to check out the shop without having to enter credit card info in a beta.

It's just for testing purpose so they aren't going to chase you for giving out or should I say misstyping your information
Especially with the rather frequent examples of major data security breaches hitting MMO companies in recent years.

It just feels a bit creepy putting your CC info into a beta cash shop. Of course this is all psychological... I've alread given ANet my CC info when I purchased the game. But... I have kids, and I have no idea how restricted the cash shop is, yet. Can we purchase cash shop items beyond the initial amount? Can we set it up to require an authenticator code? Do we get email verification of every purchase? This is way, way premature... I'm sure they're just wanting to test their system's ability to process CC info and I have no doubt that they will correct any mistakes that happen... but it still feels a tiny bit creepy.
