Originally posted by elocke I like Turbine, but I would rather have Trion pick it up to be honest. I like their development style and how they attack projects with such gusto. Great customer service too, from my experience.
Absolutely AGREE with this. TRION would be THE best one for the job on this game. Especially since they come out with new content faster then anyone. I would suggest Arenanet but they are busy with their launch right now, another good choice, both with people from Blizzard North, the best dev teams out there.
NC-Soft would probably be the best choice as they have the most experience and probably biggest infrastructure to handle AA.
I still haven't forgiven them for throwing Auto Assault under the bus, though....

Everything I hear about the game is that it's actually very boring outside of it's sandbox/building chores, which are also boring. I haven't heard one genuinely good review from a western player, and even many eastern players have said the same thing. But if there was 1 company that I feel could push this game to fit expectations as a western influence/publisher it would probably be Trion, or possibly even Perfect World.
From a development standpoint I'd prefer it was NCSoft. But their security sucks. No one I know has ever had a Turbine account hacked the way we were in Aion.

Lemme guess... you're basing this opinion off of Eligor on the AA source site. He never made it past the starter areas, so that's not exactly a well informed opinion. Plenty of praise from established guilds. But a good portion of the game wasn't even implemented during the last beta. Kind of harsh to have a definitive view of AA oneway or another.

From what i've seen the game looks lackluster, boring and extremely grindy.
If i wanted a game that had me grinding the entire time I'll just go back and resub to Ryzom for a couple months.
Oh so you want to grind same old themeparks for 30-60 days then hop on over to another simplistic themepark with a different skin for another 30-60 days. Lets see you probably played TOR in december for a couple months, now you probably playing TSW, then it will be GWII, not sure what online single player rpg with multiplayer options comes after than.
Ill pass Id rather do my grinding in one game, that will have some rewards to it. But I am a real MMORPG player. I am not sure even if AA can satisfy my desire to play a real MMO, but I know its the closset thing I have seen to one for a while now. I am not going fanboy on this game theres a lot of questions it has to answer for me to know for sure. But right now its a pre-order for me.
Enjoy your mmo hoping. But youll probably be playing AA anyways, because your type runs out of MMO's to play far to fast, because they a far to easy.
Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore) Now Playing: N/A Worst MMO: FFXIV Favorite MMO: FFXI

Can you post up some reviews from western players and eastern players to back up your claim?

My money is on Perfect World. They seem to be moving up in the MMO world, and might make a good choice for ArcheAge's publisher.
Since when is Tuesday a direction?

I wouldn't give anything to Turbine after they massacred the Lotr title.
Grim Dawn, the next great action rpg!
