Have I seen enough to make me want to play it? Hell yeah. I am even considering pre purchasing if they allow me access to the next BWE. I still have my concerns about the Cash Shop, but not enough to put me off from the game. My attraction to GW2 is that I am an altoholic who is forever leveling something. Once the raid/Gear treadmil gets too redundant, I tend to pick up and alt and drop hardcore raid status to casual raid status and redirect my focus. That's been my history. Problem is, I don't want to quit raiding altogether. So what does that mean to me? GW2 will be added to the list of games I rotate through and play based on my mood at the time.

    Great Online game? Hell yeah!

    Revolutionary? I doubt it.

"Huhh??? Anet delivered exactly what they promised.."

it doesnt really matter if there delivering hat they promised now.it matters when the actual game comes out

this is beta, and betas are usually buggy and pretty crappy.bioware didnt really deliver what they promised in sw tor so i wonder if arenanet has learned anything from that

i guess it depends on gw2's actual grind.because Tera is a korean mmo,ive played alot more korean mmos then i have american ones, your average person playing a korean mmo isnt probably going to be interested in american casualized ones

me personally though.id rather have seen Lineage 3 then Tera, but i dont know.godess of destruction kinda turned me off on Lineage 2 a little bit

    95% Agree  :)

The 5% is the Cash shop, I could less. Never bought anything from any of them and i won't start now. I could care even less if people bought everything on it and spent thousands of dollars in it. I play the way I want without the slightest care of how others spent their time or money.

    Still,  +1

"Once the raid/Gear treadmil gets too redundant, "

from my expierance i didnt think gw2 was focused alot on pve.it looked more pvp focused then pve

but whatever,im sure by this qoute.it'll just get ruined by the wow crowd anyway, with there endless tears of acting like spoiled babies over loot.one of the things that annoyed me the most in wow is joining a raid only to have some neckbeard talk about that "sweet piece of loot"the entire time.it makes me wish they invited some sort of way of smacking people over the internet so i can tell him to shut his fat mouth about loot

I think you misunderstood me. I was talking about the WoW/WoW-Clone Raid/Gear grind. I do enjoy raiding and it's just not in GW2. So I will probably keep my Sub to Rift so I can still raid when I want to. And satisfy my Exploration/Alt leving cravings in GW2. Now I just need something with a comprehensive pet and crafting system.

    Had the exact same opinion...

    Four days ago.

'Sandbox MMO' is a PTSD trigger word for anyone who has the experience to know that anonymous players invariably use a 'sandbox' in the same manner a housecat does.

No game is more fun than the one you can't play, and no game is more boring than one which you've become familiar.

I ment like the no refund policy, and if you feel like videos are good enough to judge a game then you must be a retard

Oh god someone PLEASE shoot me...

By pre-purchacing this game, especially during mid-beta; this is assuming the consumer is readily supporting this product. Just like every other game in existance: There are NO excuses to buy a unfinished game for any reason other than this.  A person would have to be a bigger retard if they couldn't wait patiently for the game to actually RELEASE and actually waited for a DEMO or FREE TRIAL (assuming there is one, which I no doubt there will be). From this point you can judge all you want.

Except they don't need to, as they're not tied to active playerbase thanks to having no sub.

They have a cash shop for a reason.  Fewer players means fewer potential shop goers and fewer people buying expansions.  Population will matter to them.  I have no clue what will happen to their population BTW.

Of course, but a cash shop is far more constraining than a plain sub, so they didn't revolve their business model as much around the cash shop as on a sub (nobody can force you to buy stuff to play compared to sub, so it's not what will mainly decide of ANet financial foreplans). Hence far less reasons to "bend over".
