Mature Adult Guild ?

When the game comes out I'm going to be looking for a nice casual laid-back ADULT guild, or I am open to forming one if other ADULTS are interested.  I don't plan to play GW all the time, as EQ2 is my main pursuit.

I want a *mature adult* guild .... because all you kidtards drive me insane and

(1) I don't want to have to listen to you

(2) I want to kill as many of you as humanly possible =)

    I may have a guild for you all the members of my guild are adults im the youngest in there 17 :P thats not so bad but everyone else is 23+ we are a small guild not trying to go nuts recruiting especially recruiting ignorant children (haven't ran into many children yet but the release you will be seeing them) another thing i like about our small guild is we always use teamspeak as other guilds are too big or too shy or too shot to use teamspeak. but what we are looking for is good players not good but awesome good and smart cause we need smartness for pvp we only have two healers and those two healers aren't prim but when we go into pvp we own we got a warrior/ranger good tanker ranger/warrior, me warrior/elementalist (im so uber but need so much healer aid :P ) another w/e. we are good at pvp as long we got healers that are good and don't try to be uber like me or trying to tank.

    meh hope you don't mind my bad grammer :P but we got 3 canadians in our guild :P and 7 Americans

    imageok that is like so stupid, I for one am 14 and like you i dont like the young guys/girls online because they think he can kill everyone when they cant. not to mention all the people that i play with are like 25+ so whay are you generalizing the young people online as a group when you dont know half of them out there I mean I dont like them but i dont think it is fair to those who are not like that.........

    lmao great thread. Personally I think they should ban all people under 21 from playing any video games involving the slightest hint of violence and or  nudity (GW all the kids strip down to their scivvies and have dance parties!!) Omg what is this world coming to when children are allowed to play video games

    You're absolutely right ... I am over-generalizing.  The truth is that our very large EQ1 guild had about 95% adults, but we did allow in a few, well, "kids", lol. who fit in quite well.

    But people generalize sometimes because it's the easiest way to approach it.  I simply wanted to post a clear message of what I was looking for, and if I wind up guilded with some younger people who approach games like you obviously do, well that's totally fine with me =)

    Pirate Scum are recruiting and I think we might be what you are looking for.  Here are some of our principles so that you can tell at a glance if we look like the guild for you.

    A quick summary:
    - We are here first and foremost to have fun and will have little tollerance for those who ruin the fun atmosphere with rudeness, lack of respect, cheating, bla, bla, bla
    - We welcome both pve and pvp players
    - We are not 133t dudes, we are pirates...Arrrr!
    - We have the desire to be high ranked in pvp and will work to get there. That being said, GvG is not mandatory and there will still be many ways to have fun with the guild
    - We are not making any demands on the guild members except that they participate in the community. ie.. visit and contribute to the forums occasionally and party with other Pirate Scum in game.

    I would find another game or stick with EQ2.
    Guild Wars is a game based on competition and tournaments, and because of this fact you will find that there are next to no players/guilds that are laid back.

    think of counter-strike and mix it with a RPG setting. how often do you enter a counter strike server to find there are no immature players?

    Do you try to piss people off? I'm 15 and have been told by many people when i ask them "how old are you?" they say w/e age then they say "how old are you? like 20?" or "how old are you?" and i reply "15" how old did u think i am? "i don't know really, like 18-24"

    It is actually possible for "kids" as u so blatantly put it, to be mature and know what is going on, just because random "kids" come by and say I'm a l33t pl4y3r! doesn't mean we are all like that, i would actually like an apology.

    From past experience I know I am happier in a primarily adult guild.  Simple as that.  So bite me =)

    I am sticking with EQ2 culley65.  I just like GW for some change of pace fun.  I'm sure there will be some laid back people playing.  Anyway, I am not seeking NO immature players - I'd just like to be in a mature guild.

    Having played the Beta this w/e I'ld say it's not wrong if that's what you want... don't think it will help tho'. Some people will play/chat/think your way, some won't. Some are immature at 40, some wise at 14. Age isn't really the issue is it? hence the 'Mature' part.

    From what I saw I think there will be a vast number of smaller guilds in GW.

    So I would suggest you start your own, it's relatively simple. Then quest with prospective members to see if they're 'mature' enough for you before letting them join - you may find they don't all have to be adult. (and that's from an 'older' with a teen son! &BTW he's great, but I try not to game with him - totally different styles).

    Your world / your fantasy / your choice... enjoy.

    I have seen alot of really immature things spammed in towns but overall in parties everyone is real good. Just a guess but the younger players that do say rude things in town arent really playing the game at all. I think that they will get bored of this behavior quickly and stop playing altogether. Doesnt really bug me that much although it would in a party. Maybe Ive been lucky

    Being uptight isn't fun, and i currently had to boot an immature person out of my clan, the only 15 yr old I have seen with an attitude problem...

    You are setting yourself up for failure, and better yet making your self look like a retard in the progession.

    Afraid we'll have to agree to disagree here.  I am simply looking for a mature adult guild.  That seems to bother you for some reason.  Eventually you'll learn that not everyone thinks like you, and that's not only okay, but it makes for an interesting world =)

    Yes, please keep us updated - if I ever get my head around, or you actually explain, what you think you mean by 'mature adult' (seeing as we're all playing fantasy RPGs here) I'ld like to know...
