Still on the fence with buying this game. I got a question about the combat.
Is the combat like Vindictus or is it more refined. I tried Vindictus but the UI was a bit discouraging for someone who came from traditional MMO's like VG, EQ, WOW,etc.

Depends what you want, Tera is much more tatical than vindcitus is. If you ever play monster hunter or god eater burst thats pretty much how the combat is like. Its not much of a dps spam fest like Vindictus, most attack have some kind of animation root which means if you use your attack randomly your will have lot of openings for counter attack. It adds lot of depth and planning to the game.
What about the UI? Its been a while but if I remember you had to hit tab or escape to use the mouse and UI in Vindictus.. Is the UI more mainstream in Tera?
It will be different from what u are used to but when u get it u will love it ! its action ! u aim to attack u dodge and u will never click in the combat i really enjoyed it.

there is no mouse like vindictus, its how all action combat games world. But to be honest you shouldn't been to need your mouse 90% of the time unless your manageing inv or something which you be doing only when your resting. You brind up the mouse by hitting alt or esc to bring up the mouse to do what you normally do with your mouse =X

you have to hit alt to use the ui.
It makes sense. you can't be aimng and using yoiur mouse pointer to click skills.
Skills are also chained so that if you use a skill, the next skill in the chain can be activated by using the spacebar. Of course this can be remapped as well.
If you are set toward clicking skills with a mouse then you will not like Tera.
