About Us:
Humble Beginnings:
Eternal Vigilance started as Hyakki Yako in 2010. Our individual histories can be traced back through many MMOs, but our family began in Final Fantasy XIV. After spending a lot of time in an underdeveloped game, we have come to the idea of creating a cross-game community so we don’t have to lose friendship simply because we want to play another game. From there our members have played FFXI, League of Legends, Guild Wars, Battlefield 3, World of Warcraft and DC Universe. To this very day our members wave our flag in FFXI, Guild Wars, Battlefield 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Play styles:
Eternal Vigilance is a friendly and social guild, but that does not mean that we don’t want to progress though the content. We have different ranks in our guild which you can join pending on your play style. Having fun is what the game is all about, and what could be more fun than sharing all your moments with great people? Whether you like to play for one hour a week or 50, we will have a spot for you.
Alts:
SWTOR is based around having alts. Anyone who wants to create an alt is more than welcome to do so. As long as the alts are active and are being played, you are more than welcome to have as many as you want.
Communication:
We do have Ventrilo. You can find our server information in guild or on the forums. We welcome anyone to join our vent for some fun and banter. If you do not want to do that then forums and guild chat should suffice. We do not require anyone to use any of the following on casual basis; however, Ventrilo is required for Raiding. We would like to encourage you to make the effort and communicate with other members. You wouldn’t want to be that strange kid that sits at the lunch table by himself and smells of 3 month old tuna and talks to himself do you? I mean that is why you join the guild, right?
Plans for the future:
We would love to see this Guild grow and become one of the best no matter what we decide to do. As a SWTOR only guild we would like to progress into Nightmare modes and to start dominating PVP. As of right now, we are half way there. We will keep recruiting for PVP and for any other aspects of the game that become available. As a cross-gaming community, we are expanding into Guild Wars 2. We have no concrete plans to expand into Tera or Secret World just yet.
Raid Rules
Raid Progression:
KP and EV 8man HM: 10/10
KP and EV 8man NM: 7/10
EC 8man Normal: 4/4
EC 8man HM 2/4
Raid Schedule:
Our Raids are Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 8-11pm EST. Signups are posted on the calendar after every Thursday nights raid. Please be on and ready to go by 7:45 and come prepared with stims and adrenals.
More raids have been added. Fridays at 8pm EST and Sundays at 1pm EST
We also need a few more DPS and Healers in order to start our 16 man runs.
We are now looking to fill up a weekend raid that will most likely take place Friday and Saturday at 7 or 8pm EST. The actual times and days will be confirmed once our roster fills up.
Attendance:
In order to be considered a main raider you need to be able to consistently make 2/3 of the raids every week. These are the people who will get first dibs on progression content. That is not to say they are the only people who will get raid spots. We will do everything we can to make sure casual raiders get into the raids we have on farm or get a chance to fill in spots if we have people that can't attend for a night. The most important thing is if you signup, even if you're set to standby, make sure you show up! If you consistently signup and do not show up, or you disappear without a word you *WILL* lose your status as a main raider.
Loot System:
We use the Suicide Kings loot system. Go to http://www.wowwiki.com/Suicide_Kings for an overview. New Raiders are placed at the bottom of the list.
