It works better if you assign dodge to a keypress, then map that to your g13. otherwise you would either a) always dodge one specific direction or b) have to macro 4 double taps. Mapping a key rocks, it will dodge you whatever direction you are moving (and backwards if you are not moving)

Totally, this is also where the G13 / Naga marriage works incredibly well.

Dodge key on the mouse pad under the right thumb +

Direction under the left thumb with G13

    =

    Impossible to beat reaction time.

And you still have 4 free fingers on your left + 2 other ones on your right while operating. Could be useful for mouselooking while inputting the dodge, all while triggering a tab targetting or off-GCD cooldown.

That is exactly what I use! G13 and Naga are a very good marriage.

I wanna see it in action! If it doesn't work on my computer games it looks like it will work in a hospital emergency room as some type of reuscitation device. :)

I really like the thumb stick and use it. I also like the screen for Vent, TS3, and stats on some games. I bought mine partly because I play on a laptop and dragging my gaming keyboard around with me is not quite as practical. It allows me to distance myself a bit from the laptop. The Xbox controller is tempting but I think I will stay with the G-13.

I love my G13. At this point, I can't play any games without it. I didn't like the Nostromo, I can't remember why now as it's been so long, but I remember checking them both out and loving this darn thing.

I'd definitely get it again in a heartbeat.

i have a G110 and i fail to see why would anyone want a G13, i can see the use for a mouse with more buttons though.

You can have software help with your keyboard, if not the standard software you can download some macro maker for keyboards, works just the same.

Buying a new hardware just for a thumbstick ?

Thats all real, i'm not trolling or anything, I ask you, Why use it  and why its better than your overall keyboard ?

If you're a seriously competitive gamer and have the money, I think the thumb stick alone would warrant the purchase.  To be able to consolidate 4 keys that require 3 fingers into 1 key that requires only 1 finger can be invaluable.  Not to mention the finger you'd use is your left thumb, which is essentially never used otherwise.  It's an advantage that simply cannot be gained through any other methods.

I tried the G13 during stress test and used the stick for movement (forward/back, strafe left/right). I have a mouse with two thumb buttons, those I used as dodge and jump buttons.

Worked ok, but I am not 100 % happy with it. The problem I have is mostly with the form of the stick head. Forward, left, back are no problem. But because my thumb isn't positioned flat on stick head but at about 45 degrees, (don't know, maybe my hand is different ;) ) it didn't feel very comfortable to go to the right.

Is it possible to use/get another stick ? So far I couldn't find any. I think perfect would be a stick head formed lick a U.
