Spear specc!!

Hi Fellow players ;)

I were wondering if any of you were using spears? And what stats they have and where you found that drop, as well as your opinion on a Hunter with Polearm spec?

I'm currently Dual wield with double Axe and it does fairly quick and constant dps, but flirt with the idea of a Spear image

    Spears and Polearms are the same thing, and they are classified as polearms in all respects within game. Polearms are very cool weapons but they are pretty few and far between when it comes to blue or purp ones. High lvl polearms are very hard to find and some of the elite ones that were in beta havn't been found yet in the live version. DPS wise they arn't designed to be better than other 2h weapons so they are on par, it really comes down to wether you actually get a great drop of one and if you want to spec in them.

    i have a friend who just started using a polearm as a hunter and he seems to be enjoying it, i think its a matter of personal preference as they aren't really any better or any worse than anything else. I think DaShiz is right as far as getting a really nice one but maybe its something to shoot for?? an unoffical quest as i like to call it::::01::

    This is the one polearm I see all the time on players and in ah:

    Blight
    Binds when equipped
    Two-Hand Polearm
    93 - 141 Damage Speed 2.70
    (43.3 damage per second)
    Durability 100 / 100
    Requires Level 45
    Chance on hit: Diseases a target for 50 Nature damage and an additional 180 damage over 1 min.
    Sells for 3 Gold 38 Silver 57 Copper to vendors

    ok, thanks for your input just what i needed ;o)

    I actually saw a hunter use staff, it looked pretty cool also image
