In this week's Star Wars: The Old Republic column we examine the neat stuff coming to the game in Update 1.3.
First, let’s start with the possible (but unconfirmed) title for Update 1.3. A recently released financial report for EA detailed two new content packs that would be available by the end of EA’s Q1 (ending in June), and they are ‘Legacy’ and ‘Allies’ respectively. Obviously, we’ve seen Update 1.2: Legacy, so it’s safe to assume that Update 1.3 would be the ‘Allies’ content pack. Interesting name, but what’s its significance? We learned a bit more about that in SWTOR’s first podcast episode, which debuted yesterday.

Group finders in an MMORPG...sigh. I guess in an instanced world, this would be required. Give me a free open world where I can find my groups by adventuring.

This is crazy , lol...Group finder? My server is dead, 100% dead..I don't need a group finder, or more warzones, or more flashpoints, I need more players and until they fix that nothing else matters, nothing.
Yep, they need to bite the bullet and do the server merge.
I agree. Bioware needs to do this ASAP - - waiting until early summer (June 20th or later) is just too long.
The server transfers will be starting soon, I imagine they want to wait until they are underway properly before assessing which servers to merge with which and which to then close. Merging now wouldn't do anyone any good if the population was to suddenly shift afterwards due to server transfers and people moving their toons to their current reroll servers.
So far the info for 1.3 is underhwleming, for me anyway. I don't raid so the group finder isn't much use to me and i'll already have augmented gear for all my characters by then anyway. Legacy is just a plain let down full stop.
I also agree wtih you guys!.... I think Bioware is afraid from a PR stand point.
The forums on here and everywhere else will blow up with threads titled - "LOL SERVER MERGES = THE BEGINNING OF THE END"
Unfortunetly they NEED to be done ASAP...

Of course as usual, the content updates are a waste and a slap in the face for SW RP'ers who care about the canon and not some money-grabbing WoW-clone with no soul. In fact it's ironic in the freeze frame above it shows two characters sitting at a table talking which of course is impossible to actually do in-game. Nice show of more false advertising Bioware.
Same here. Server merges need to be done now. And, if they don't do cross server LFG, it will not help as much as they think.
I am one of those lingering subscribers, I am subbed, but find myself logging in very little (not at all in the last two weeks) and sadly, I dont find myself missing it. Now that summer is coming, and my calendar looks pretty much packed, it would really take a miracle to keep me in this game.
Time to get off my lazy ass and unsub.
I agree with the above poster (yay summer!). I need get off my butt and unsub. My wife is keeping me subed just in case she ever logs in again lol. It's been very boring the last two months. One leveling path makes this game very difficult to lvl more than 1 alt.
hope the fekkers release more alien spieces instead.

The group finder is a welcome addition, but unfortunately I think it is too little, too late. There are are still hundreds of horribly irksome bugs in the game that have been present since launch that Bioware seem to have no interest in resolving.
OP, go in game and open up your legacy window and take a look at the "coming soon" part on the left hand side.
There is your 1.3
What the game maker believes to be the "carrot on a stick" to keep you playing.
Ooh, an experience bonus unlock! Because leveling is soooo hard.
Ooh, a companion affection bonus! Because gaining affection is not only hard, you will really need it 8-10 months after release!
Someone needs to go to Bioware headquaters and pretend they are Moe Howard and line them all up and walk down the line slapping them all in the face.
This hame is sorely lacking in MMO, it does not need moronic things added to it that add NOTHING to the lack of depth to the game...but we are talking about people who think the game needed more additions to make players NOT interact more often so they added the ability to add mailboxes and a GTN to ships making sure more players DONT go to hubs.
Expect more of the same in 1.3, a whole lot of nothing to address what the game lacks in.

Yup, definitely a relevant comment. For me, the answer was: I got my 30 days, logged in for 10 minutes to clear in-game mail, and removed the game from my hard drive. Maybe in a year or two it will have shaped up into something more interesting to me.

Expansion patches need to be properly newsworthy. For example, enabling people to fly spaceships around the universe without rails.
CCP make small improvements (like making fleet finders) all the time to Eve Online - but they don't make a big thing out of it.
