We've all heard about Sony's troubles.

I just happen to have a Wii, 360 and a PS3.
Like them all, perhaps the 360 a little less since I was one of the RROD victims. The 360 was repaired and returned promptly but now refuses to charge my controllers.
I wouldn't be happy if the only choices I had for console gaming were Nintendo and Microsoft.I just like as much choice as I can get.
Sony isn't everyone's favorite since the attack and their less than stellar response to it. Not all however place the blame squarely on Sony. Quite a few actually blame the hackers. Can't imagine why.
Sony may or may not turn it around. You can't keep losing billions year after year.
If you cut it too short you can always nail a piece on the end.
If you cut it too long then what the hell are you gonna do?

They deserve everything that is coming to them...
Sony's roots were very pro consumer. They went to bat so we could record our favorite music, movies and tv shows on vcrs, walkmen and cds. At some point they got into the entertainment side of things and thought we needed rootkits, drm and copy protection. They are not the pro consumer company they used to be and for that I could care less of their fate as I now boycott the company I once loved.
Sony has some work to do, but I just can't deny the possible chance for them to recover quite nicely. They are one of the founders of gaming right along the lines of a Nintendo..
PS3 is still a major success and has many, many great qualities behind it's design. I'm anticipating news of the next-gen console to give them a slight boost in finances. A further look will be needed afterwards depending on the games they have lined up.
They've been faltering in the hardware department for some time now, so I'm not completely surprised by this..
PM before you report at least or you could just block.
Don't forget the ill-fated MiniDisc players! I had a friend who paid $700 for one of the in-dash models for his car. He could record pretty much any song off the radio with a push of a button which, for the time, was pretty damned impressive.
I can't imagine the Sony of today releasing anything like that, sadly. They've definitely changed for the worse, and I for one won't be sorry to see them go if they do indeed head the way of the dodo.
I still think the PS3 is a solid piece of hardware. Despite that, Sony as a business is failing hard. They need to adapt, no actually they needed to adapt about 4 or 5 years ago.
Part of me thinks that it's too late, but then again, Apple was about 3 weeks away from bankruptcy at one point.
I like my PS3, wanna see what they do with the PS4. Leaks say it'll have a quad-core 2.9GHz processor A8-3850 GPU on board and a discrete Radeon HD 7670 that can work together. We'll see.

Like the interface a bit more than the 360 actually, don't feel like I'm getting pummeled by marketing. The interface is more about my system than what they want me to subscribe to or buy. If I want to see that I'll go to the store.
I have to admit that I actually hope they pull it out, not defending their behavior though.
Hope they've learned something.
