Multiplayer in TSW

I'd like to know what your impressions are on the multiplayer aspect of TSW. I haven't had a chance to play it myself so far and one thing I'm wondering about: Can you properly do quests with your friends together even if both can't play together all the time? I always enjoyed questing, but usually due to classic level paradigm of many mmos once one char was '1-2 days of playtime ahead' doing quests together was little fun.
