Actually I think he is legit, and from the sound of it he worked his ass off to speed level the first month of the game, which would explain his poor and wrong outlook on the game and why he is wrong about the current state of the game. Its also his own problem since I beleive he did just that and I am not really gonna worry about it.

I spent a good while last night and this morning reading in the official forums of WoW about players getting banned for various reasons. One person got banned for 3 hours becuase he said "RP means retarded people." Another person got banned "pending investigation" because she was the guild's banker and she had too much money on her account. Other threads are STILL talking about how servers are constantly down for maintenance and STILL constantly crashing.
But the best part of everyone complaining, IS THAT THEY ARE STILL PLAYING! They sit there and cry and cry about all the injustices that they are getting from WoW and Blizzard, yet they continue to hand over the money. They keep on playing. At this point Blizzard can do about anything short of permanently dropping servers and people will still be playing. WoW will never even come close to dropping below 180k subscribers. If anything they will only gain more people because apparently "WoW is the best mmorpg ever made."
And even though I do agree that it is a great game, how good is a game that you can't play?

It's interesting, isn't it, how people will crucify one company for some things and then when their favorite does the same or worse it's suddenly no big deal.
I got stuck in some geometry the other night.. Appealed and had a very nice SOE rep helping me within 5 minutes. That is pretty good.
Whoever said something about lack of quests, truly does not know his ass from a hole in the ground. I like to play nicely in forums, but I can't stand when people don't know what they are talking about. I literally can fill my quest journal up completely in 10 minutes flat once getting off the island(if I wanted to). The truth is I grab quests from about 3 of the starter suburbs and get them done before taking on anything else major.
Now, going back to the original topic of this thread. I found it very cool of SOE in the open letter from the prez a month ago. They praised WoW and Blizzard. Now this offer for the trial is pretty standard language from a company. I see no big issues there. However, the last press release about 350K players had a backhanded blow at WoW with the "350k players with no waits to login."
And if anyone has loading issues.. Buy some friggin RAM. I waited to play EQ2 until I had my PC upgraded. It is foolish to run anything near the lowend requirements. A 6600GT can run 'balanced' at decent framerates in low population area. But 'High Performance'(with a few tweaks) is the smartest thing for me. (The said video card, P4 3.0ghgz, 1gig PC3200).
