Looking for a Simple MMORPG (looking to ease my way back into things)

TheFlowTheFlow Member Posts: 14

I've played several, several different mmorpg but after taking a break for a couple of years I'm having a hard time in finding a new game to play. All the old games I used to play are pretty much run down and dieing.

So, I'm open to all suggestions (leaning towards F2P for now, but can be convinced otherwise.

Just looking for a simple one, has to have PVP and a good population would be cool.

ps: I am looking into getting GW2, when it comes out.

thanks in advance!

Just wait for GW2 to release sounds like it will be the addiction your looking for.

Dont spoil yourself with the other stuff that is currently floating around it will only make your want to "take a break" again

All the themepark games are mind-numbingly simple.  I don't.......

A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.

Can't get any more simple than Tera.  Not my cup of tea, but it is very simple and easy to get into.

Whens GW2 being released, a couple months? You can DL RiftLite to preoccupy yourself until then, or Star Trek Online is alright as far as sci fi goes. One of those may be able to hold you over for the time being and get you back in to the loop with having to invest too much time in. Im sure there are others other people may suggest.

GuildWars 1.  Roll directly to max level for PVP.  Buy the box, no monthly subscription.  If you have time to do so, work on the achievements that transfer into GW2.  With all the GW2 activity, GW1 might be quite busy.

    If you're leaning towards F2P:

DCUO is far from complicated. It's good combat and fun casually.

AoC is fun and has a F2P version. But, not all of the classes are available on the F2P. (Purchased in the store.)

It's not about fighting, it's about balance. It's not about enlightenment, it's about balance. It's not about balance.
