"Meet Ameranth, a sylvari who shares the same sense of wonder and curiosity about her world as her kin—and yet who stands out because of how she has chosen to act upon it. You see, she decided to satisfy her curiosity by seeing Tyria firsthand, walking from one end of the land to the other.

In Guild Wars 2, you’ll find her as far away from the Grove as Black Citadel, eager to see all there is to see in Tyria. Ameranth is joined by her faithful sylvan hound, Anna, and if you happen to run into her, she’s more than happy to tell you about their journey. “Ever since emerging from the Pale Tree, I’ve had the itch to see what the world has to offer. And what better way than with my own two feet?” she’ll tell you."

    What, so that's ALL you need to do to get inserted into GW2?  Walk coast to coast?  Sheesh, if I had known that, I woul dhave started already!

    Nah, I'd do it the old fashioned way and wait for the Bering Strait to freeze over :)

    That day, for no particular reason, she decided to go for a little run. So she ran to the end of the road, and when she got there, she thought maybe she'd run to the end of town. And when she got there, she thought maybe she'd just run across the Grove. Now, thinking since she'd run this far, maybe she'd just run across the great Tarnished Coast. And that's what she did. She ran clear across the Tarnished Coast. No particular reason. She just kept on going. She ran clear to the ocean. And when she got there, she figured since she'd gone this far, might as well turn around, just keep on going. And when she got to another ocean, she figured since she'd gone this far, she might as well just turn back and keep right on going. When she got tired, she slept. When she got hungry, she ate. When she had to go...you know... she went.

    i love this story so much!
    i wished that i was able to follow while it was going o, like checking her blog everyday for updates
    got me into thinking of trying something like this myself

    I remember coming across her at the Black Citadel during the BWE.  I thought it was interesting enough to grab a screenshot, but I wish I'd taken the time to stop and talk to her.   I just thought it was another strange sight in Tyria.

    I thought for walkabouts you took the walk in the bush, not the bush taking the walk. OK... there's a joke in there somewhere, too tired for full delivery.

     

    Regardless, really cool story. Makes me kind of wish I'd done that.

    I really like this story. Wish I had the guts to do something like that. Kudos to Arenanet for adding Ameranth to the game. :)
