TSW vs Dreamfall! A tip from a story-lover

Hey guys!!

Did you ever try Dreamfall?

I loved Dreamfall, and just can't wait for Dreamfall Chapers (The sequel). I tried the Beta of TSW last weekend, and I did see some similarities with dreamfall: Deep story-line with adventurous setting based in the real world, graphics/animations, and music/sound. I also got the same "playng a movie" feeling that I got while playing Dreamfall.

I can't understand some people saying the fighting-system was boring as I actually found it quite fluid and interesting. I even thought the animations were good (Maybe I just don't care enough about it ;) )

Dreamfall is in my opinion Funcom's best game (and one of the world's best story-driven adventure game), and I especially liked the horror-part of it. My expectations for the secret world is sky-high, as I know that Ragnar Tornquist (the writer of Dreamfall) has written the story, and played a big part in the development. That guy is seriously a genious artist!!!

If you were impressed by the storytelling in TSW, you should check out Dreamfall. Here is a good video from it:

Going to fix my life-time sub on TSW tomorow!!! I also recommend reading this article:

I may get Dreamfall after playing through all the story in TSW, it does, in Kingsmouth so far, feel like playing a part in a horror/mystery mini-series, and also reminds me of the Sandman comics, the side quests and some investigation missions are sub-plots that add to the main story seen in the main mission, it’s a very good idea, though takes patience to see it come together . This has a very personal feel to it, unlike the more committee written SWTOR, and I hope we get more instalments of the story after launch.

I played long time ago Dreamfall and its prequel The Longest Journey and I loved every minute of it. And you are right, there is some kind of similarity between those two games and TSW.

Did you notice the poster above the bed in the Tokio-room at the start of TSW?

Arcadia/Stark ; straight from The Longest Journey.

I think there was copy of Dreamfall on floor at one point of  "intro". On other hand it's quite common for FC to put these things in games, atleast FC has special apartment with Dreamfall and Prophet without Honor in bookself....
