I tried playing both Skyrim and Champions Online, but couldn't continue for more than a few minutes. They both reminded me just enough of Guild Wars 2 that it made me miss it. I think my best bet is playing something completely divorced from any resemblance to Guild Wars 2, like Portal 2 or Assassin's Creed.
I've pretty much been in the exact same boat. I've found the only games I can even remotely get into right now are games that bear no resemblence to GW2, such as League of Legends, Madden or Portal 2 (player created content rocks!). Either that or games whose enjoyment is fueled primarily by nostalgia, like the classic Final Fantasy games for me.
So does this imply that the moment GW2 comes out, you all will stop drinking beer/hanging out with friends/going camping/getting any work done? :P
For the 1st weekends after it release at least, it will probably imply some of those not being done, except some major things that cant be delayed ofc
Well we can still drink some beers while playing lol
Well the word "instead" in the thread title requires you list an item you consider to be mutually exclusive to playing GW2. Several people promptly responded with "drink beer lol." To then say, "hey, we can drink beer while playing too!" nullifies the original beer drinking claim--unless, of course, they just wanted an excuse to talk about drinking beer like a bunch of 16 year olds.
I'm playing Legend of Grimrock. If you can remember Dungeon Master and want to experience that claustrophobic dungeon crawling again, buy it, it's brilliant retro gaming. To be honest i've had more fun playing it that i ever had playing SWtoR.
Also playing Minecraft and dipping into Rift now and then.

Camping/kayaking/barbecuing with friends. Going out is certainly more expensive than gaming but it's also far, far more fun.
Not able to continue my training due to injury. Next week is the race I have been training year for, crossing fingers there.
GM'd Pathfinder Saturday and played D3.
GM'd Marvel Superheroes Sunday and played D3.
