Seems like the Intel i5 handles the game great. I heard bad performance on i7's and older Quad2Core's.
If this chart is correct it's great but i don't think so, it doesn't take your CPU into consideration. In any case i will wait until release to see if i have to upgrade my computer.
I have a Quad2core 2,32 ghz with GTX 460 and WvWvW was a slideshow on everything turned off and on lowest setting.
There is a lot of difference between an overclocked i5 2500K and other i5's. Its probably the fastest gaming processor available. while the other i5's fall back behind the SB and IB i7's.
Aye i meant the 2500K. Played with 2 friends that had that processor, they were getting 60-80 FPS everywhere.
I'd love some proof of that, or atleast hear what the other specs for their computer was, since I was getting crappy fps with an OCd 2500k. And where is everywhere? Did they stand in lion's arch and still getting that fps, what about wvwvw?
I have 2 560 TI's in mine and my husbands computers with 16g ram and I7 2600k cpus and my mother has a 2500k with 2 560 TI's. On beta weekend she brought her box over to play with us at our home and she was getting the same 60-80 fps we were. We all had 0 lag and great fps. There didn't seem to be a difference. We played pve and WvsWvsW and suffered no lag whatsoever and no crashes.
Lol, tell me you use your computer for more than just gaming, because there is absolutely no reason to have 16gigs of ram for gaming. There are very few games that even utilize 4gigs.
Who cares, RAM is so cheap right now there's no reason not to have that much.
You're wasting money getting more than 6gigs of ram for gaming. Now, if your a streamer, Frapser, do 3D rendering, etc. etc. that would consitute buying more ram.
Why spend the money on something that isn't going to help your PC's performance at all (from a strictly gaming standpoint) There is a reason not to... it costs money and does nothing for you.
You could have taken the money you would have spent on useless ram, and spent it on some nice weed, a peripherial, or even some other upgrade.
I run a i7 2600k and a 7970 and running fraps on ultra I never dropped below 30fps. It still felt like it was running a little clunky though for my rig. Will see when it's all finished being optomized.
