Opinion about up and coming (possibly open beta) games

I would like to know if anyone with experience playing UO (in the T2A era possibly prior) has an opinion to any game that has a similar PVP element. I am looking for a new game to play that inplements a large ammount of PvP and GvG in a player run guild format. Hopes are for decent grapics, and a non first person viewpoint. Any suggestions?

First I would like to welcome you to MMORPG.com, I always like to see new people joining!

If your a diehard UO fan like myself, might I suggest looking into some of the freeshards. Unfortunatly I can not go into further detail, but I'm sure Google can help you with this.

There's quite a few PvP MMOG's out there, but NONE can quite capture that essance that UO once had. Alot of the Korean / "Incert other nationality here" MMOG's have PvP, but at the same time, you are stuck with the leveling grind in order to be of any use in combat.

For an advanced member, your response to a first time poster/new member in an open pub is a rather rude way of conducting yourself.  Offering a link or a name to this forum would have been a much better approach that flaming a new person to boost your post count.  Thanks for the help in telling me that their is a different forum that would be more appropriate for me.

Munka thanks for the welcoming post, UO was an excellent game untill it gt nerfed for the noobs.  I'm not looking for all of the elements that UO hadf just a game with a solid PvP base and decent motivation to participate in it.  Good graphics and a somewhat mature community would be a plus.  I gave up on the freeshards long ago but thank you for the suggestion.  I thought shadowbane was a decent attempt at it but alas a new update (marketed as "Expansions" ) I have to pay for every 6 months and a swing towards less PvP made me leave the game to look elsewhere.
