Well, as I said, if MO gets cleaned up/polished, I may give it a spin. I like sandbox/hybrid games. Just heard too many horror stories, it sounds like some stuff was done, but some of it is just limiting what people can get it seems, which is not a great way to 'fix' something...I will sit and watch for now.
As for the person about Eve and 'catching up'...Well the difference in other mmos is that i CAN catch up...But if things are account duration locked, nothing I can do about that....Good/bad, that disturbs me, knowing I have a ceiling, and others will be above mine, no matter what I do...I like sandbox games, I even like to grind, as silly as that sounds to some people....I dislike instances for the most part and quest rails....Just don't get a lot of choices anymore for 95% of the mmos released/releasing.
I have not been a big fan of the last 6 years of mmos...Vanguard for all its problems/faults, was the last one I thought was really good and it seemed like people tried to make it more than something cheap/cookie cutter...It was buggy and such, but I think it was made with passion atleast....Not a profit/work formula.
In mo its easier to catch up than any other mmo, you can make a fully pvp ready char in 2 weeks, cant think of an mmorpg that lets you do it so quick. possible to make a pvp ready char in a couple of days if you macro it, but without macroing 2 weeks casual play.
Depends on how you define PvP ready. I found that I really enjoyed how Warhammer did it, already at low levels I could compete and have fun in non instanced PvP al the way to the max level. In fact, I didn't even notice the leveling, it was a side effect of me enjoying RvR.

shame about what happened to waro i mean it was originally set to be this original exciting mmorpg and then they scrapped it and completely ruined it.

Pretty much. If catching up means also being fully geared up (aka game over in most other titles) then his statement is true. But if it means just being able to play with endgame characters at all then WAR, Rift, WoW... Well like 90% of all modern MMORPG games out there.

Well it's a shame really. For one thing out of all themepark games out there WAR was in past few years the most fun really. The only reason why after break from it I didn't go back was simple: bugs fixed with other bugs revealing yet another group of bugs. Other than that It was really fun.
And on topic. I remember that Henrik was saying this already 2 years ago. Looks like they made significant progress towards this goal. Now don't take me wrong as I still think that they can manage to do something although tbh considering kind of market it is these days, stuff such as new UE coming out soon (even if it's not going to be direcly used in MMORPG titles it still probably will have some impact on what players expect from those games) I don't believe that optimistic estimate should go further than 100k.

there are 2 types of mmo, imitators and innovaters.
Nice, I've never seen that 2nd trailer before.
