Quick Questions about multiple builds

MMOman101MMOman101 Member UncommonPosts: 1,787

I am at work now and was wondering if anyone would be nice enough to help me out.  I starterd playing Rift and have heard that there is a way to have multiple builds saved so that you can switch beteen them.

Can anyone answer the following or do a quick write up on this?

What level does this become active and do you have to unlock it with a quest or is it auto unlocked?

Whereis the screen that allows you to set them and change them?

How many can you have and at what levels?

Is there some place you have to go to get them and change them?

Anything else that would help a newer player to the game.  Thanks and I appreciate the help.

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

    Press "N"

You'll have to buy each additional soul slot in city from your trainer where you train up your skills.

Sorry, maybe I did a poor job of asking the question.

I was wondering what it takes to actually have more than one fully flushed out build.  So that you can have a healing build and then a DPS build and then a support build ect and just switch between them so you don't have to remember everything and redo your hot bars and such each time.

Same answer. Go to the trainer for your class in town, purchase a second role from them. Press N. Click on the new slot. Press Activate. The hotbar will now all be default and you can select your class skills further from the build. Update your hotbar after pressing save.

When you want to switch press N again, select the other soul at the bottom, hit activate. The hotbar will switch from configuration to configuration.
