Can't be a rogue

in World of Warcraft

Started WoW as a Rogue. I trained for pickpocket. Place icon in Action bar. Clicking on it says its only available in stealth mode. Click on stealth, pickpocket icon dissapeares. Scrolled through action bar, nope, not there. Came out of stealth mode icon reappears. But...

Worse still. Next time I logged on this icon had dissapeared entirely. Can't get it back so I've lost the ability and my money and where I trained for this ability, that item is not available anymore. What a bummer!

Wots the point of being a rogue if you can't be a rogue, eh?

    My god, WoW interface owned you?

    When you enter stealth mode, your action bar chnges since you'll be using different set of abilities in that mode anyway. It's reallly that simple. Also if you've 'lost' your skill you can always press 'p' to get your ability book and drag abilities onto your action bar. Remember to pick 'Subtlety' tab and scroll pages if needed.

    OK, on a flaming note...
    How do you manage to breath!? WoW interface can't be more accesible and I thought it was even idiot firendly.

    Sorry, could't resist that flame...

    But it really boggles mind that WoW interface can be confusing, like everything in WoW is simple and easy to learn. I hope my explanation was clear enough, but IIRC there were even mini-tips when you played your first character, especially the one about siwtching action bars when entering stealth.

    It's not in the book anymore, geddit!

    And before, when I selected stealth mode, the ability was NOT (repeat NOT) on the action bar, geddit!

    Check your book again alanrco... maybe your UI isn't operating properly? (using a tweaked version of cosmos maybe?)

    And yeah I enjoy pickpocketing alot, really adds to the class.

    Do u pickpoket other players or hostile npcs?

    There is a wondering llama somewhere, it seems to wonder from Loch Modan to Desolace and if you see it, you pickpoket it and get a bunch of "llama poop" then u pickpoket a tree and get a bunch of weed seeds and then u put that poop on the ground in Westfall (near the tree where the hidden halfling is sitting smoking pipe full of kenaf) and then u spray it with frogs blood, killed at midnight with a silver bullet through its left eye and then some nice weed grows from that and thats what you were smoking when trying to find pickpoketing skill.

    There is nothing wrong with it.  When you hit stealth place your icons on bar.  It switces back and forth.  You dont need pickpocket on non-stealth.  Take it off when non-stealth then place it while stealth it will be gone and when you stealth shows up.
