I've just been wondering when it will be. I just pre-ordered the game last night and have been dying to play it already!

Dont die waiting, the game will be released soon.
Game is good but for sure not worth dying for :-)
There is no date yet, but it will be soon, most of us are hopping it will be next weekend

One thing, pre-order doesnt guarantees you to join beta weekend events, you have to pre-purchase it...
Adapting from Blizzard's definition of soon:
"Soon" does not imply any particular date, time, decade, century, or millennia in the past, present, and certainly not the future. "Soon" shall make no contract or warranty between ArenaNet and the end user. "Soon" will arrive some day, ArenaNet does guarantee that "soon" will be here before the end of time. Maybe. Do not make plans based on "soon" as ArenaNet will not be liable for any misuse, use, or even casual glancing at "soon."..
Basically what we know so far is that the game is going to be released in 2012, no date has been given to anyone so any date a retailer, investor or anyone else might give you is pure speculation, and they're aiming to have 1 BWE each month until release, but that schedule is subject to change as it just did, there will be no BWE in May because they're deploying new hardware for their servers, and once that's done they'll give us a date of the next BWE. There's speculation that it might be the first weekend of june, but again, it's pure speculation based on nothing oficial.
What can men do against such reckless hate?
I prefer my definition of soon than that Blizzard definition lol.
There isnt any confirmation about a specific date for the next BWE. But imo, and most of us, there will be a BWE this coming month, i dont believe at all that they would pass another month without a BWE. So if you just pre-purchuase GW2 you wont wait much more to try it.

Make sure what you did was the pre-purchase. Pre-orders get access to headstart, but not the BWE. Pre-purchase gets the BWE's, which is where you purchase the full box ahead of time.
And no one quite knows when the next will be, but anything more than 2 weeks into June would put them dangerously close to 2 months total since the first one. I don't think they'd do that to fans (read: want to sort through the bitchertwitching) so, probably very soon. They mentioned they were postponing the next one because they got enough data from the first BWE + stress test to start upgrading servers and getting new hardware installed and ready for the next one, I don't think that's the kind of thing that takes too long, barring unforeseen issues.
