1. OP is wrong , lying , and we know it , we are closing the thread. Thank you for your time.

2.Even though people are screaming and show proof in screenshots , we know better , we investigated "THOROUGHLY" , and case closed , we are right. Thank you for your time.

I think TOR really has potential to surpass Vanguard in popcorn watching of the trainwreck incoming over the next several months.

    I dont understand how they could get something like this wrong.  Looks like they would have logs AND they could talk to the GM, this all just doesnt make sense.

    Seriously , as I see this getting out on the net on other forums the laughter is overwhelming , and rightfully so.

     

    They went from their "badass secret sauce fraud team confirmed the OP is a liar and banned him" to "we dont care how many of your scream we know we  R ALWAYS RITE so STFU customers" , to , "whoops , we were wrong due to a , "glitch", yeah , a "glitch".

    Just when I think the whole TOR thing couldn't get more humorous , Bioware goes above and beyond.

    the cs on the forums is so quick to issue a "yellow, lock" thread that they dont even care to realize what's going on. I am glad to see a thread like this show that the mods are too quick to throw down the lock thread button.

    they censor way to much on the forums there and i am shocked that the dev actually admitted it after the first posts.

    Well, looks to me like BioWare had 2 issues,

    1st a rogue employee that either did not understand the full PvP server rule-set or willfully ignored it.

    2nd the log system isn't reliable if the cs staff reviewed it once & found that a lot of chat logs were missing, yet were able to confirm it did in fact happen later.

    So they need to do 2 things, sort out the employee & either retrain him if it was a training issue or discipline him if it was misconduct, & then they need to address the problems with their logging system.

    This is the fail that we have been sing a lot form ea/bioware.  This is not the first time this has happened, usually they delete the thread so quick and ban the person complaining.  You got lucky to have capured all the proof.

    Those people should get lifetime subs for free. Or a better thing would be to ban them so they can play a real game that actually works.

    I would bet a big part of the problem was that the complainer had doctored up the "screenshot", which made going through the chat logs more difficult.  Obviously they should have been more thorough.

    What was never confirmed by anyone in that entire, useless thread, was whether or not the respawn point was being camped.  This one guy said it wasn't, but I don't trust a PVP'er starting an "open world event" in a low level zone as far as I could punt him.

    Hmmm...I don't quite get this. Seems to me they made a mistake, and issued an apology. They'll even call each impacted players to give personal apologies. I thought it's considered normal for human beings to make mistakes.

    Hmm. GM guy made an error, other CS guys at first couldn't find proof of it, but after a 2nd, more encompassing investigation did find proof, apologise for their former error and also made known that they'd deal with the GM guy that made that mistake.

     

    Sounded like a fair method of working to me, people work, people make mistakes, some people aren't even big or honest enough to apologise when they err, I thought this was decent.

    If that should be remembered, then also should be remembered that they're willing to re-investigate and apologise when they've erred. Bioware or not, I found the process how this was handled an example of good problem resolving: not always everything wrong is found immediately, but re-investigating and admitting when you were wrong and apologising for it and taking appropriate measures, that's what I want a CS of a game company to do.

    Personally if this had happened to me with whatever company I was doing business with, I would've walked away from this situation somewhat disgruntled but also satisfied and with slightly more respect and trust in that CS team. Re-investigation and apologising aren't that commonly done in CS dealings.

     

    Lol, anyway, was just curious what this thread was about, but seemed like a trivial thing, so I'm out of here again image

    Yeah, this. 

    Maybe the CS guy who went bananas did something to make it harder to be caught the first time. Plus, reports like this should be taken with a grain of salt. People on the internet do all kinds of crazy stuff to get attention or hurt somebody. 

    In fact, posting there again and apologising was, imo, the only right thing to do. They could have just closed the thread, and no one would have ever known if the claims were true or not.

    Tbh this could be a case of people lying to troll the forums... 

    When the game came out people claimed they were hacked when they were not, just to troll the forums and it was amazing how many people claimed this...

    I'm guessing you didn't read the actual responses by a Bioware employee.

    ... or are you suggesting there's a Bioware employee lying to help troll the forums? :D  So many layers of deception!

    Yeah, but Joveth, the forum mod guy, NAMED and SHAMED the 'fraudster'. This is in direct violation of their own forum rules.

     

    *THAT* is what people are THE MOST pissed off about. It started off as either a) a CS employee with his head up his ass about PVP worlds and rules or b) a CS employee getting ganked on a personal char. So he starts threatening the 'offenders' with his official CS account (cleverly hiding in /RP as a droid). Affected players take to the forums asking for someone ELSE in CS to take a look at the issue. Thereafter ensued the hilarious shitstorm that is BioWare's forums mods doing their level best to imitate a bunch of retards trying to fuck a doorknob.

    ANYONE working for any sort of high tech company, not to mention a GAMING company, should know how to search logs. If the logs are SO arcane as to be exceedingly difficult to find stuff in, all the more fail. And, apparently, it has occured to no one that this CS employee *MIGHT* have realized he was going to get in trouble and tried to cover his tracks, perhaps purging logs and such. I admit that's probably NOT what happened, but it's still a possibility, however remote.

    This is what people are complaining about. They cannot stop fucking themselves in the ass over there.

     

    The shitstorm wouldn't have been bad if a more generic 'this has been reviewed and cannot be corroborated. We are therefore closing this thread and we want to remind everyone that making false or fraudulent claims can and will result in suspension of your account'.... type message. No, that's NOT what they did. Yes, the original poster was public and viewable to everyone. However, it was still against their own rules.

    Rubbish. If people would really be pissed off by that then I would lose yet another bit of faith in mankind. The 'fraudster' was the OP of the thread so his forum name never was exactly hard to figure out. No need to keep a name secret that has been known ever since the thread was created.

    Impressive.

    They are actually managing to mistreat and harass the few players remaining playing the game.

    GMs threatening to ban players PVPing on a PVP server. Then lying about the event occurring and harassing the people posting about it, while trying to censor all the evidence.

    Just... remarkable.
