Just remember to get to level 20+ before deciding whether or not to buy the game. The game is quite fun at lower levels until the grind kicks in.

I have had to skip most of the non-story quests to stay in level range. Not at all grindy if you do the instances..

And a few days and levels after that you realise that every BAM fight is pretty much the same with different skins and you are back to bored again ;)

This is what I have found as well. It started for me at around level 20 when I could go to BoL. I did my story quests leading up Celestial Hills and then Velika.

Gathered the dungeon quests for BoL in Bestial Vale. Did the dungeon a couple of times (was a fun group) and handed the repeatables in which made me ding 24...

From there I went to Popolion, did a couple of non-story quests to help me ding 25 and the story quests alone got me to 26 so I could queue up for SM :-

Was busy with my first SM run on a new alt until the servers went down for maintenance.

This will carry on further and I guess it just adds more flexibility to one's leveling. You can level how you want to (BAMs, dungeons, non-story quests, alternative zones).

At lower levels dungeons are good xp. Past 40. They are worthless for xp. Just a heads up. You will be grinding. Still way easier of a grind then vanilla WoW (if you want a comparison).

Tera took me 2.5 weeks to hit cap.

Aion took me the full month to cap.

SWTOR took me the full month to cap. (probably wasnt as into it)

Vanilla WoW took me 1.5 months to cap.

case in point, I went from lvl 56 to 58 in two days. Thats' only a few levels from cap. And I'm leveling a lancer.

Three of my guild mates went to lvl 60 during the few days of the head start.

I think the game is lovely but the grind killed it for me... at lvl 55 I had to kill 20 random mobs for no other reason than to grind and pad the game time... not only that, but hte mobs took FOREVER to kill at that level and I just unsubbed after that.

I might come back once they bring the new warrior stamina bar and some extra content, but other than that, lvl 55 grind killed it for me...

Great game though till that level.

grind does not always just mean time...

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
