Online Game World Map - Chernarus

The basic game Arma 2: CO for DayZ offers 3 huge game maps besides one smaller one.  Chernarus is the current game world of DayZ and since you spawn with no ingame map at all, there is a little help available.

 

This is a nice webpage with the Chernarus Map Online:

 - zoomable; with town names in latin letters aswell in Cyrillic...ingame names are in cyrillic thats why the map is a big help.

@Gamplay ProTip: Playing without any map gives a much more intense and exciting expirience ingame. You are on your own and have to discover the world for yourself. I would try to play without the map first like the game should be played...you will find a map aswell as loot ingame if you are lucky. Use the online map really only if you cant advance ingame anymore.

* Chernarus - 255km ² ~ 160 miles ²

 

real world data; 1 million 3 D objects; 350 km of roads; 50 towns and villages; 2 dams and numerous small lakes/ponds; Urban areas and factories; almost 100km ² of forest

 

 

* Takistan 167km ² ~ 104 miles ²

 

mountainious terrain; 4 towns and 24 villages; several large Oil fields; 3 airports; coltan mine; 450.000 objects

 

*  Zargabad: 67km ² ~ 42 miles ²

agricultural land with with a large urbanized area; marketplaces; multiple squares; city houses and old ornate buildings

    Yeah always have that up on my second screen helps a lot when trying to team up with m8s :)

    Well honestly, the most fun you have ingame is actually without any map. So this online map is a huge help but takes away aswell the unforseen and a part of the thrill. Especially at the beginning in the first days.
