Disable chat is my first move in any mmo. Lone wolf mmo player forever!

What i do is disabling chat in any mmo because i am getting ill from players who try to  pm you because you ganked them and because of stupid haters who try to destroy your gaming expirience. My first priority is to start with pvp and to enjoy the story alone. I don't like party, pve raids or anything where i must read crap from anyone. So the rest of the players are important to me only for the reason to be engaged in pvp. How for heaven can i enjoy my game if somebody speaks about cars in one fantasy mmo. Solo in world of mmo is only option and only way to rp. More people here who play that way?

Im a bit of a soloist myself.  But certainly not to that extent.  Yea there's a lot of verbal garbage in an mmo.  But by disabling the chat window or completely ignoring public chat you seriously miss out.  People will be talking about things on there you had no idea about and might have never learned.  All sorts of hints, tips, secrets.  You dont even have to ask half the time because people will just shout it out there to each other. 

 

And as far as asking a question about the UI, Options, or the game itself it can be a huge help. 

 

Besides of which being completely 100% anti social, you miss some of the greatness of an mmo anyways.   Yes the good comes with the bad, but Ive met people in mmos that I really thought were great people and loved playing with them.  Ive had friends help me out of seriously tough spots before that without them, Id have been in a very bad way.  That especially applies to EvE which I played back in the day. 

 

But in order to miss out on some frustration and annoyance, you are also trading it for laughter, fun,  and comraderie.  But do as you will and have fun.

Nope. I play my MMOs with other people. In fact, it's much more fun imo playing with other people. The only times I'll occasioinally play solo is if I'm leveling and I'm pressed for time. Aside from that, I'm always playing with someone else. My general chat is always on for the most part.

Ah, you must be the one that continued down the obvious path and got spike trap killed when I was shouting 'HEY don't go down there ,you'll DIE!". I thought you were being ignorant...well...I guess you were! lol

No but seriously, I understand your points. Mostly i keep out of the World/General chats and stick to friend/guild/party for important things

Well i open google and try to find answer for my question:) But look if you play for example AOC and you want to  RP some hard barbarian i feel than much better to be solo against all and to find answers by my self

Well i don't disable bubble chat if there is one in game, only general, trade, private

Just play sp RPGs. Problem solved. Why play an Mmo if you never involve yourself in the community. Seems like a waste of money but what ever floats your boat I guess.

In a solo game, you can't kill other players!  I PvP in Eve Online, sometimes, if it crops up (any other game I've tried has yawn-inducing PvP, insta-rez from death with no detrimental effects and no looting) but I wouldn't join an MMO purely and simply to kill other players.

I'd really like to play MOBA games without chat/voice chat. Only means of communications would be your ingame actions.

But that won't happend, people always have external voips running :j
