When I signed up I received  ra new key and and had to accept a nda.  I can now acces closed beta download. LoL i hope its the closed beta not a weekend.

"Your key will grant you access into the following beta weekend:

I guess I will find out when the client is downloaded.  Look at the facebook page.  They said it was confirmed it is for the closed beta and not a weekend.

A friend of mine got the key, and it's closed beta.

I got a key, it says closed beta on the funcom site, but I doubt it is for the closed beta... the alienware clearly says it is for the beta weekends in 15th june

 

EDIT: Just tried, it's is indeed the closed beta....

@Tarib from the official forums

Those that did already get the key from Alienware and did already use it will keep the access. But all the other keys now available over Alienware will be for the Beta Weekend, as initially intended.

I grabbed a few keys before the number reset to 4500. Were those the 1500 closed beta keys?

no, you had to apply the keys in a funcom account, unless you used all those 1500 keys before they fixed it, those are beta weekends key now...

Unless I'm misunderstanding the question, I think BigCountry might be right about the initial keys still working for closed beta.

 

I grabbed one thinking it was weekend beta and was just going to give it to a guildmate in a giveaway or something, but after I saw that post about them giving access to closed beta I went and put it on my account just to see.

 

It still gave me access to the closed beta client, even though I added it to my Funcom account after they posted that they goofed up.  I think if you got it before the goof up you're going to end up in CB.
