Not really, to people who never played the game its a good intro to the game. Ofc if you played it than ya it seem pointless but lets people try out all the classes at a higher lvl.
I think it's a neat taste of the chacater to get a feel for motion, control and animation responsiveness, some costume examples and higher level spells. It might be confusing for someone going in cold turkey trying to move and activate things as well as use your abilities. But I think it's far more effective if you only had a firs few levels trial.
The fact ther's nothing to download makes it a non commitment easy process.
Unfortunately the prologue takes place in a dreary rainy day, and misses the awe effect that sucks you into the word. If I was EME I would create similar but lionger and more involved content in different environmentsusing this same cloud system.
I would suggest for people not to use it as a final determination of whaty the tera experience in like. But at least at the basics of non tab aiming for ranged and melee are demonstrated.
Thank you for the post OP. I forgot that I wanted to try this again post release and see how it is. I played it in beta, but it was up against my beta time with Diablo 3 and it lost the competition. My main complaints were the bad UI, boring questing, and a lack of polish in some areas which I fully realize could get a lot better between the time I played it in beta to post-release. I'll give it another look.

Apparently it is only the prologue, which is the worst part of the game, but at least it will give some a taste of what TERA has to offer.
No download for it is pretty cool.
