If there's a real apocalypse or post apocalypse......this type of thing worries me how things would actually be ya know?
Most of us would probably try and work together.. you know.. we don't respawn if we die in real life.. =P

we try to avoid people true, but they are people who can be trusted in this game. i manage to find a group and since then i play everyday with them (when we can spawn close to each other ) dam
they should a least lets us choose where we want to spawn on the coast so we can play with friend faster instend of running mille to never get together

If you get lucky you can run into a good bunch. I have myself but the first few minutes of our meeting was tense to say the least. However there are many players that will bait you with friendship just to get a nice close clear shot at your dome.

I always try and meet up with players or join a group not long after I have spawned into the world, if I don't get a group I go and find myself some nice items, as soon as I have a map, food/drink, assault rifle or shotgun, I am on my own.
Once I have good items and weapons I don't trust anyone, I know that if i saw some guy that had everything I wanted and needed to survive I would kill them and take it too.

This is true. The more you have the more of a target you become. If you are going to try to group do it on the coast as soon as you spawn. This way if you get killed you are only out a few cans of beans. I personally stick to the loner approach. Not because I'm anti-social mind you it's just that the only times I've ended up swarmed by a hundred zombies was because I was with someone else that did something extremely stupid. You are better off solo in this game in my honest opinion.

You're welcome to come on my clan's Ts3 and come roll around on our server with me or some other clan members ! We're "neutrals", meaning we'll kill anyone we don't know on sight so that we don't get killed first. Game has evolved into a real zombie survival sim. Generally, shoot first then ask the corpse later of its intentions :P!
DayZ - US 28 Chicago 22 or US 27 Chicago 21 both hosted by Fraternity of Gamers ! You can simply put "frat" in the "Host:" area of your filter to find either of them quickly !
If you want the TS3 info it ticks by every now & then on the servers, or you can PM me for the info !

The only way to learn this lesson is not to read it or hear your friends tell you not to trust anyone, but to have it happen to you. Same happened to me and a buddy of mine.
We were going around a forest to get into some hangar and we suddenly ran into some random guy. After some tense moments we both identify ourselves as friendlies. I tell my buddy that we should smoke him, but my buddy is more forgiving and says we should walk away. We do and focus on the zombies and the hangar ahead......big mistake. After about 5 to 10 minutes the guy had been following us and out of the blue boom Im dead, by buddy tries his best to figure out were it came from but he does'nt make it.
You better watch your back in this mod and its awesome because of it

You obviously have no clue what so ever what neutral means. You may want to look it up.
If you think an actual zombie apocalypse, man versus zombie, would equal all humans shooting and killing all non zombies and asking questions later, you don't know jack shit about human nature.
Yes there are a few like you but you quickly get killed because you're a threat just like the zombies and are of zero use to anyone else on the planet.
The best key to survival in this game is--like in real life--to play with people you are friends with, and that you can trust. And then, as a group, be wary of who you trust outside your group.
Well it seems like the more new players that come in the more the game has devolved into one big death match anyways. Also now with the removal of the global chat channels and the bandit skins it has gotten even worse (Version 1.7). Now almost everyone shoots on sight so you are better off assuming that every player you run into is hostile because 99% of them are. I understand why Rocket decided global chat had to go and I agree with it but he should have waited until direct chat worked 100% of the time before doing it.
Now you have to be within 80m to voice chat or 40m to text chat and even that doesn't always work. Also by the time you get within 80m of someone usually the bullets are already flying. Basically the game has gotten to the point now that if it isn't someone you know in RL that you are playing with you are better off just shooting them because there is about a 99% chance that they are going to shoot you as soon as they see you. I really hope Rocket does something to make people want to hook up and group again. There should always be bandits but right now everyone is a bandit because it's the only safe way to play.

The thing I would fear most during a Zombie appocalypse would be other people. Zombies have easier to predict behaviours.
