After ruining SWG I haven't played an SOE game since 2005, but Planetside 2 gives me hope for the MMO genre! I mean you could say this about lots of MMOs in the past that have gotten hype like WAR and SWTOR. Planetside 2 however is an FPS with 2000 players per cont (confirmed) and it looks just amazing! I've been watching it all E3 and tbh it's the only thing other than Watch Dogs that has impressed me and I don't have any idea why Sony never presented it during their press conf.

Well done SOE Planetside 2 looks amazing and reminds me to why I loved SOE games of the past, because they were always innovating in the genre!

Strangely enough, I'm more interested in Wizardry Online now that they wrestled it from Gamepot.

Sadly, though, it does guarantee that it won't be around all that long before they ditch the rights to distribute (I give it under 2 years), and everyone playing it is forced to start over under another publisher's version of it.

I know that. (I posted this comment many times before that Dust wasnt a MMO and got banned for it, so trust me I know)

 

that was kinda my point. they arent MMo but more of COFPS to a MMOFPS, similar to how CORPGs are to MMORPG.

its better because its a MMO. simple as that. than the additonal awesome gameplay on top of that, which makes it even more greater....

The stream has been great, can't wait for tomorrows. My only complaint is that half the poeple seem to have trouble doing the most simple of tasks, like moving, aiming and shooting. Then they'll goto someone who can use a keyboard and mouse and it's like a different game.

I know some aren't great at fps but wow they don't seem to be able to just move in manner that means they don't get shot to crap instantly.

Also lmao at tb's chair breaking and just half his head showing.
