Xenpt, did you use the new installer? The rest of you, did you just update on last BWE client?
Before switching to the new installer, folder had 15,4gb, now it has just 13,6 so I am guessing that in the old one there are files not being used anymore, but that remained there, making it 15,4.

As I said before, I think it has to do with what type of instalation you use. People with the new installer have it at 13,6 while the ones with the old one, have it at 15,4.
What does the old and new installer look like? If we got the installer from BWE1, does that count as an old installer?
My installer has updated itself twice in the last few days. Looks as if it checks for updates to itself before looking for game file updates. I don't think you need to worry about having an out of date installer/launcher...
15,4 GB, updated last client. I wonder why such big difference between this and fresh install. Why keep unnecessary files?
It doesn't keep unnecessary files. However, it also doesn't compact everything after downloading is done. And that leads to the size increase. To explain with pictures. Imagine you have a file:
AAAABCCCCDD
You now update everything, "deleting" area AAAA and DD.
----BCCCC
As you only can directly remove stuff from the end of file by truncating it, you simply mark the AAAA area as empty. Now, if we add EE we get
EE--BCCCC
and then add FFFF
EE--BCCCCFFFF
While we still have the same amount of actual useful data in the file, it takes up almost 20% more space from the original because of the way the new "puzzle pieces" didn't fit perfectly into place.
The correct way to fix this would be to compact the file. When compacting you basically make changes in the archive file so that the empty space ends up at the end, at which time you can truncate it away. Unfortunately, the GW2 client either doesn't include such functionality, or it doesn't run very often.

I am also using the new installer. I've never played and stress test or closed betas before the actual 1st BWE.

15.4GB here too.
Have you guys with the smaller install folder checked for a new update? Unless they've removed some redundant files with a fresh install.
Mine's 15.4 as well. Been updating it every couple of days to avoid a huge last minute patch.

After doing the big update, I seem to have triggered an additional 1GB after switching language.
