What apeals to me is that it reminds me so much of the old school Sci-Fi Apocoliptic games such as Wastland and Fallout (1 and 2) which I played to death. I like the idea of controlling a group of characters and being able to use them to both help me and to shield me when I need to run away sreaming lol. I miss the feel of the old school game and the way they pulled us into their stories by relying on "Real" storytelling as well as making us laugh at the cultural and socal jokes they make about society. It seems like most games today seem to rely more of flashy graphic and so-so storylines and less on good storytelling that pulls the player into the game. I would love to get a copy of theis game if you feel so inclined :-).
Okay, this game just includes so much aspects I love in video games, like the following:
Crafting!
RTS with RPG elements
POST Nuclear environment with cool looking Steampunk equipment, HELL YEAH
I believe this game will be easy to learn and impossible to master, looking forward to it - Hopefully I get in touch with it due to this giveaway or when I buy it sooner or later.
Oh yeah, the reason why this game took my attention, because the art style was really unique and badass looking. Got it on my wishlist since I have seen the trailer.
Yea id have to agree with some of the refrences to Fallout 1&2. I like the whole feel where this game wants to emerse you, and you kinda sorta get lost in it. or it would seems since i havent played it, but i do look forward to getting it- Hopefullly byway of tthe giveaway.
Crafting is integral to Krater as well. Players can craft everything from the typical items and weapons to their characters' own abilities.
Perked my ears as well. very interesting crafting own abilties
I've watched a few gameplay videos of Krater since seeing this news post. Looks like a neat game.
Many of the game's systems such as the squads, crafting, and injury/perma death look intriguing, but I would say I'm mostly attracted to the game by its atmosphere and setting. I've played tons of action RPGs over the years, and enjoyed most of them. The majority have been fantasy though, and I love seeing something new and different.
I enjoy the fact that they are trying to Push crafting and bring a new style to old ones that worked. If it aint broke don't fix it. Just improve on it:).
Never really played many RTS before, but this seems like a game that i want to try out. I hear that the crafting system is extenstive and i want to see what is available for crafting. The whole tanking and dps/healing group is a different type of mechanic that i haven't seen before.
You know what really appeals to me, a rpg fan boy? Is the fact that Krater caters to the single player rpg lovers. They have the unique feature where there is unlimited adventure, where there is constant maps that are randomly created to keep the adventure going. ALso, which is quite unique is that you are given 3, 3!!!!, not 1 character to use on ur journey. AND THE 3 characters all have their own individual personality and looks...lol at the orge looking guy. WHATS MORE Is that the 3 very different characters also progress and change as you play throughout the game, keeping things fresh and exciting for any rpg lover. Krater has so much depth, exploration, and uniqueness that anyone can fall in love with it by just reading the reviews and features. Yes, krater looks awesome and i cant wait to get a chance to get my feet wet in this unlimited unqiue rpg rts game which makes single player extremly enjoyable.
All right. I think we've got enough entries at this point! I'll be PMing keys out shortly to our winners. These PMs should arrive both at your MMORPG.com inbox and at the e-mail you used to register your account. Thanks everyone!

I very much enjoy the art style, the character design, and the squad aspect.
I've been thinking of re-installing an old school game such as Baldur's Gate to fit these needs, but Krater seems like it'll be able to hit the spot.
With the release of co-op in a month this game will be some great party fun!

I've been watching this game and almost bought it when it released. However I read the forums and there is a huge list of issues people are having.
I'm going to wait until it is suffiently patched before buying and I suggest to all those that want to buy it as well wait a while til it's fixed.

Going to go watch more youtube vids on it
