I just tried.....Hellgate, and liked it

I know this game has no future. I know Fallen Earth is the more popular alternative in the genre. Even though not post apocalyptic, I know TSW will have more appeal to the looking-for-something-not-fantasy crowd. I know that this game has a HORRIBLE reputation. I know the graphics leave something to be desired. but...
After feeling let down after this weekends TSW beta, almost fell asleep while playing, I decided to ignor all the Hellgate hate and try it for myself. Download took about an hour and I was up and running at about 9 last night. Played for a while and went to bed, sometime AFTER 3 AM. Took me about an hour to get used to the game and I had a great time, I tried to force myself to stay up longer so I could play more (didn't have work today).
Anyway, I'm not going to do a review of the game (theres one here at MMORPG). I just wanted to say if the horror thing appeals to you give this one a try. It's only a directx 9 so boost the games graphic settings all the way up, Your character will look great, the rest of the world, meh. I can see playing this every Sunday night before bed.
I need some action in my games, TSW and Fallen Earth just seem to move to slowly for me. Both games have great attention to detail and really are the more imersive games, however, I found myself getting bored in the 1st 6 hours of those games (I played more than that) the pace of Hellgate kept my adrenalin up.

Don't play a MMO.
Find a good action RPG or FPS with online features. I would MUCH rather play Diablo 3 than a MMO because it has better combat and good level of challenge, and there are enough online/persistant elements. No one says you need a full set of MMO features to make a good game.
