Ok so since the NDA is lifted, I was wondering if anyone had any information about making a healer.
I was trying to do some research last night but I wont be able to play the game until friday when this beta weekend starts :-(
What is the best way to go about putting together a healer?... is it even possible to be a pure healer in this game?
any information would be greatly appreciated!

You can definitely make a "pure" Healer, and you have a decent amount of flexibility in how you go about doing it too.
Blood Magic is probably the easiest and most accessable Weapon for basing a Healing Build around. Claws can add some nice synergies and give you decent melee damage as well. Auto-Rifle gives you Leeches but I found it rather underwhelming. Dual Pistols gives some very nice Healing/Support syergy as you get deeper in the Wheel.
There are also other forms of "Support" like debuff clearing that show up in other Trees as well. Also, since many Passive Abilities work regardless of the weapon you have equipped, there are a lot of different ways to boost your Healing/Support output.
Overall I find it a decent system, in some ways an improvement over "Traditional Holy Trinity" fixed classes (love the flexibilty for example) but weaker in others (with only 7 Active Abilities available in a Build, you might find it hard to duplicate the full "Healer Toolkit" you might be used to in other games - some will proclaim that a strength but it is in fact a tradeoff, one that some might not find acceptable).
If you want a 'pure healer' I'd suggest going blood + claws. Blood has a lot of straight heals + shielding. Claws has a lot of straight heals + HoTs. Also, just fyi, you can grab passives from some of the other weapons without having to equip that weapon. So ther eare some possibilities there.
If you do go 'pure healer' (and this may be somewhat obvious), you won't have much in the way of attacks. You will basically be a heal / buff bot, and little else. Just a heads up.
i would start using 1 weapon that you you put skill points into damage and another you put points into healing. They could both be healing weapons but dont have to be, some of the damage / support weapons have support abilities to help healing, a tanking weapon as second choice might be good for pvp etc..
claws is good for people who dont like tab target healing, has lots of cone, pbaoe, gtaoe, party heals etc..
A lot of quest rewards give you three items to choose from early on (tank/heal/dps). So you can outfit a solid healer within a few hours.
I sit on a man's back, choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his lot by all possible means - except by getting off his back.
Blood / AR is another best healing combo by all accounts.
