got home from work early yesterday , came home and sat in my chair for six uninterupted hours straight playing fallen earth. i think about it at work, i wake up giddy in the morning waiting to play fallen earth. i set a two hour limit to play it yesterday, after four hours i was still playing. ugh....its just disgusting.
havn't enjoyed an MMO like this since pre cu SWG. i'm not sure how this game evaded my radar all these years. i think its the post appocalyptic theme. i remember seeing it advertised and i guess the zombie weilding the chainsaw advertising just didn't grab me. started playing it this week and wow! very pleasantly surprised.
i'm an ex pre cu swg vet looking for a replacement MMO....blah...blah...blah....we all know the rest of the story. have been looking since 2005. tried wow, eq II, vanguard, rift, eve, DDO, Lotro and a few more i forget. havn't felt the excitement of gaming like this in any of them. they are all great games but not what i was looking for. any ex pre cu swg vets in same position looking for a home seriously give this MMO a try. think you will really enjoy it. you will immediately find alot of similarities.
well i guess thats it. coffee's ready, hopefully see some of you in game.

While I no longer play FE, I had the same feeling as you about it reminding me of pre-cu/nge SWG. The game has come a long way from beta and post launch.
It's a great game IMO and a good alternative to the fantasy MMO's on the market now. If someone hasn't tried it, I would highly recommend it.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it. How's the ingame populations?
Einherjar_LC says: WTB the true successor to UO or Asheron's Call pst!
well i have only been to a few towns in the first zone but there is alot of people running around in every one. im guessing there is 30-40 people around at all times in the towns ive been to so far. seems pretty busy to me. every place you go to kill a boss or for mission has several people to help out. been nice since a couple times ive needed the help.
I did until it went pay to win and no effort is put into bug fixes.
I gave up after the last nerf to combat skills logged in one day and saw all the skills that cost many of a red chip to aquire were gone not to mention being sold out to gamers first.
Could you explain this in a little more detail? I was almost persuaded to give the game a DL and try for myself, but before I sink a lot of hours into it, I want to know about this.
-Pretty much this
I quit when they announced F2P with a ca$h $hop- The game was decent but IMO was a missed opportunity for an open World Sandbox- Instead it seemed linear and gated.
Why is it destroying your life?
Sure you are thinking about the game but have you been fired from work? Has your Wife/GF left you over it? Have you lost your house? Have your friends left ya?
You seem like every other mmo gamer I know...
These games tend to require a large time investment and a good amount of out of game research.
You sound completely normal to me.
Playing: Nothing
Looking forward to: Nothing
This game is not Pay to Win in any way. Anybody who saids so either has no girlfriend or is a trol. Armor you can buy from the ingame shop is pure cosmetic and often can be gained with reward points (like practically everything else). And afcourse, there are mounts, some rather expansive xp boosts, AP points reset, and character changes. NOITHING PAY TO WIN.
About the bugs, they are on it, finally that is. It took them hell of a lot of time to see that bugs are destroying someone's gaming experience, but now they found out. They are completely revising the AI, and have unbugged many bugs the recent patches.
