$25 for a mount seems sort of crazy... although it is per account not character though...
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
true enough, glad you tried to see the upside of things, but frankly, i'm going to stick with the first part of your statement: "seems sort of crazy".

there trying to bring themselves more money. Blizzard has done it with wow with account wide mounts costing $25. People buy it. Why not it free money in there pocket.
$25...amazing.
$25 should buy the game or an expansion. Not some lame mount. lol
You can buy the game cheaper than the mount :P
^this.

25$ is what World of Warcraft charges. I think EQ 2 charges 25$ per character.
Why did a horse with its feet on fire become such an industry standard for MMORPGs?
Is it really that unified of a thing considered by nerds to be "awesome"?
Loved the black horse in UO with it's feet on fire. Forget what it is called.
Whenever I see someone on these cash shop $25 mounts I just roll my eyes. Congratulations guy, you just became a loser in a world pupulated by nerds, geeks and basement dwellers! :-D
What's the point of having a spiffy mount to show off to your friends if you didn't EARN IT IN GAME?
Wow - 25$? that seems a little steep...
Not saying it's right or wrong, but 25$ seems to be normal.
There were bad ass black horses that could cast spells and kick butt, but they didn't have burning feet. They were also called Nightmares
Free to play = content updates for the cash shop. Buy to play = content updates for the cash shop.
Subscription = Actual content updates!
Your right. The nightmare is what I was thinking of. Wasn't there also a firesteed? It was all fire?

Nitche game adds similar cash shop item as other popular games.
People who don't play said nitche game, never had any interest in it in fact, feel the need to crawl out of the wood work to discuss how insane it is.
...
What?
Kinda hypocritical isn't it? MMORPGs ooze nerdism and yet here we are discussing animated horses.
Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.
$25 bucks thats what wow sold that poney for and what most mounts cost in eq2 and lotro, once you do that cash/coin conversion.
