People don't seem to get how the game design actually works...
An arrow is a series of targetted AOE's, not an actual projectile, for example. I'd explain it more but at this point i think fanboi veils have been pulled over people's eyes
If you place more importance on a couple of digits on a tiny part of a niche website so much, rather than just look forward to a game you think you'll have fun in I kinda pity you.
Plenty of games with poor ratings I found fun, numbers don't make games great, personally I only rate GW2 @ 3.14159 that's my opinion & if you don't like it tough.
Well I for one am not nearly as hyped over this title as I was before I started playing TERA and with such a great game(for my style) as The Secret World also on my playlist, looks like GW2 is on my backburner right now. They should have stepped up thier release I'm thinkin.
Played Tera, it is nice but the reusing of mob models and backgrounds is pretty lame. Played TSW - MEH!! Not worth it.
I don't buy into the hype but what I do buy into is A.Net's way of making games. I still love GW1 (a great game). If GW2 is similar - that is icing on the cake.

If I remember right, isn't the hype rating dependent on the rating other games are getting too?
I.E if 100 of us go and hype one of the other games in the list with 10s, the GW2 hype rating goes down slightly?
Any game clearing an 8.5 is doing EXTREMELY well on our hype meter. This is one of the few games I've seen go that high, sitting at 8.78 right now.
Don't recall any game getting a 9 or higher in hype. Maybe in rating, not in hype.
