This game has blown me away. I'm not sure if it's the hype I did'nt have for it going in, or I'm just so sick of the standard mmo todays. The combat,  the skill tress (amazing) are  fun, and thought provoking that can require some planning. No 1 feature however is the questing It is simply the best I've seen. I dont have some of the choices per say like swtor offers, but I listen and do every quest and want more. I was also suprised by how fun the pvp was . I hope they keep updating, and  keep fixing the issues it has ( every game does) ,and keep expanding cosmetic, and content wise. No matter what, this game was a success, and a hit for me. I will continue to sub for support. Please give it a real shot we need for developers to take new approaches like this. The cookie cutter mold  has to be broken for this genre to not grow stagnant, and die. Thank you for reading. I have a long history in gaming .I've played since Eq1 , and a smidge of Ultima. I am not a fan boy I rarely post actually. Thanks for the read.

 

Long time gamer I have played  Eq1, Asherons ( dark tide) , and every other mmo since then and some that didn't stick around. ( Tabula Rasa, Istaria formerly known as Horizons, Ac2 ,Shadowbane.

    Not that I've heard. They should implement one though for that very reason.

    Not the most luxurious trial option ever, but something. But you need a key from a subscriber.

    My buddy invite is spare, my usuals all bought it the same time as me. If you PM me your email I'll send it to you.

    Make sure you download the client before using the key though, the buddy invite only last 24 hrs after activation.

    I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

    Havn't got it. Not sure if there is a PM delay on this site... I rarely use them.

    EDIT: Got it and sent you the buddy pass, Hope it gives you a better idea if the game is for you!

    I will probably wait for a 7 day free trial or something similar. I played in a couple beta weekends and I just don't think a 24 hour buddy key is enough time to decide on whether or not you like the game. I couldn't really decide if I wanted to keep playing after a weekend.

    I do see a lot to like, but I've gotten gun shy with these games. It has to be better than whatever I'm playing right now.

    I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

    I've really enjoyed my time in The Secret World so far.  The missions are immersive and the writing is superb.  The PvP and a few of the animations leave something to be desired, but overall it's been a great launch and I can see myself playing this game at least through the first free month.  Upcoming patches and content will be the determining factor of this game's longevity for me.
