Interest in creating a Neverwinter Nights PW?

Hi all,

I've been kicking this idea around for a bit, and thought I'd come here to throw a few feelers out and see what the feedback might be from the community here.

Basically, I'm seriously considering creating a PW for Neverwinter Nights (the Bioware game published by Atari, not the upcoming MMO, just to avoid any confusion). It's an aged game, but it still has a rather active community on the PW (Persistent World) scene.

I'm a creative type and can definitely work my way around the toolset and set things up that way. I can set up very, very basic scripting, but that's about the extent of it. I am most definitely a "right brainer", so anything to do with advanced scripting is beyond me.

So, primarily, I'd be looking to collaborate with a Scripter and perhaps someone to help build areas and create content (quests, encounters, etc).

The general theme I have in mind is outside the Forgotten Realms setting. It would be an original setting, using the assets provided with NwN and its expansions. I'd like to avoid using the CEP. The ideal scenario would be that people could just log in, select the server and go without having to download any additional untold hundreds of megabytes of hak packs, etc. The CEP itself is over a gig last I remember.

So, if there's anyone here who A) is interested and B) has experience with and knowledge of the Aurora toolset and how to create custom scripts (fairly complex ones), please let me know. If I find there's substantial interest and the experience to back it up, then I'll definitely be contacting folks privately to discuss it further and see where it goes :).

Please, only respond if you are seriously, really interested. If it sounds like "something kinda cool that might be neat to check out", then it might not be an ideal situation. I don't expect anyone to give up their personal life to work on this, or sign their souls away in their own blood. Real life always comes first, in my book. However, I would like to collaborate with folks who are at least serious about making it happen.

Anyway, thanks!
