Mankind

There was a older game started a while back called Mankind,

Website: http://www.mankind.net/

I have played about 4 - 5 months of this game a while back before Earth & Beyond and it is quite a great game, immense and spectacular, the graphics are similar to original C&C, but the dimensions and world of the game is unparrelle to anything else out there do to the games immense size, content, players, community, and playability.

Mankind is a Real-Time Strategy Genre, like Homeworld or Hegemonia, you start in a newbie zone or a Empire System where you can begin developing a small terran station on the surface of 1 of several planets in the system, once you have your base established you can begin mining the raw materials to sell or use to build the next units and research the availiable sciences to grow stronger and leave the empire system.

Once you leave the Empire System, you have 1 of over (from what Ive seen) nearly a million different systems with their own planets, players, and space to make use of, this game lets you create individual bases on each planet, create a super star base at the heart of your system and several other systems (Unlimited if you can get that far), and wage war with people how you like to, from small skirmishes from long distances to keep your identity and wereabouts a secret, to bombarding your next door neighbor with a few cruisers and fighters. The game is well made, well developed, and should be seen by people that did not get a chance to get into it when it came out.

Just a suggestion though... image
