Question about Beta

in Phantasy Star Online 2

So I can register, download, and play PSO2 without using any sort of JP VPN?  Also how long does this Open Beta last?  THANKS! ^_^

    Yes you can. No idea how long the OB lasts. You have to play it in japanese tho, which is a bit annoying if you don't understand the language.

    I did some digigng around and found this:

     

    • The open beta is scheduled to be over on the 3rd of July, 11:00am JST.
    • The release begins on the 4th of July, 2:00pm JST.

    The game is already released!  You do NOT need a VPN! Most of the English players are on Ship 2 (basically server 2), but Ships 1-5 have closed character creation because of them being full.  However, myself and numerous other English speaking players are on Ship 10.  There's also a campaign going on that if you reach a certain level on Ships 6-10 by August, you get rewards.
