Pretty game

I downloaded the free 7 day trial after seeing some people here talking about it. Just some thoughts:

* Very pretty game, both the enviornments and the characters.

* The music and ambient sounds were good too.

* But can't talk at all? At least give us a "newb" channel or something! Not being able to talk at all really hurts.

* It took a while to get used to the controls. It seems to me that they should have made the default controls more like all the other games like WoW and SWtOR and then found a way to add the crosshairs. But after a while I started to get used to it. Just different and different isn't a good thing when you're trying to get a feel for a game.

* The animal characters had me go "wow!" Never seen that before and they were super cute. Good idea!

* The clothing options and character creation were better than average. Not sure how well that holds up in the later part of the game though?

* The population seemed healthy but that might be because I started on Dragonfall.

* Overall, I'm intrigued and will probably try it again, but the crosshairs thing just kind of really hurts the immersion.

i think there is an option to change the cross...maybe there is also a way to completely remove it if you like.. the game is awesome and as you procceed the lands the monsters the cities and the gameplay really shine.... only bad is the kinda boring /linear quests that give a grindy feeling although the truth is that the game is not grindy and you can really easy reach 60... overall is an awesome game...need just some more end game content and pvp/bgs implent an it will be even more awesome!

The shooter style combat seems to be a hit or miss for people.  If you are really only into mmos/rpgs then it probably won't be your thing.  But, if your a more general gamer it's an awesome change.  I love it personally because it adds a new dynamic to combat.

You'll get used to it, it was weird at first for everyone but once you understand it and get used to it you'll probably appreciate the change.

For most people the combat is the only reason they are still playing.
