Please, please lets have DAoC style open play PvP

enough said, unless they expand and add to PvP it will become deadly boring, repetitive and one dimensional very soon. Get on to improving PvP Ragnar. The game has had an excellent launch and the quality is exceptional. Make sure there is good end game for PvPers. Thanks.

Never played DAOC, but this isn't suppose to be it. if you want proper large scale pvp, only Planetside 2 is coming.

Here's the thing, while never having played it, DAOC was huge, i mean huge, from everything i've seen. These pvp maps in themeparks todays are simply too small and actuall pvp feels way to meaningless. With small, inclosed locattions, you end up playing "keep swap" more than a giant war-like battlefield.

What Funcom would need to make this DAOC-style is alot more Warzones, and they need to be interconnected between each other. But of course, that will require quite some time. And, they never said this was going to be DA, only have similarties.

Actually Fredom my friend, DAoC PvP (or RvR as it was called) was partly instanced - through something called Darkness Falls - and partly zoned, because New Frontiers (the later version of PvP) was a remote region that needed to be TP'd into from the main Faction headquarters. So Funshang could easily be developed into a DAoC style large, open, roaming PvP area.
