I don't have any idea what to expect. I originally was pretty stoked for GW2 when it was announced to be a full scale persistent world, but then some things were shown and/or talked about that really turned me off for my own reasons.

With TSW being a total flop for me, I started looking at GW2 videos for the first time in years and although some of the things that I really dislike seem to still be there, I also saw a TON of things that I truly love. The WvWvW pvp looks incredible and possibly the first pvp since Camelot to give me that same feeling. I am very much looking forward to trying that out in this upcoming (my first) weekend event.

I am a sucker for underwater content, and have been since EQ1. I love it when it's done right. It looks good here so I am looking forward to that as well.

The player housing looks amazing from what I have seen in vids, adapting to your accolades and adventures... wild.

The ambient chatter and nature sounds look great. The day/night cycle looks good. The weather system looks awesome. Etc...

I am going to try to get past the things I do not like, and maybe I will get lucky and those things will have toggles or something... but ultimately I am really hoping to enjoy thios event and then prepurchase and see you folks in launch. If not, I'm thankfiul for the chance to test a bit and see what it's about at the same time.

Other than the interviews about changes to classes that really hyped up people to wonder what and how big things will change, i have opened the gw2 launcher and i have downloaded so many files/gb. Expect big changes at the start of this bwe3, they probably changed most of the game from all these new patches.

P.S - for those that did not patch their gw2 recently, try doing it right now and check out another big download, i thnk this one is bigger than the other one. 33,700 files is probably an extra 2-3gb :p

For those new to the game, they will have absolutely no clue what to expect, or where to begin. WIll indeed be an experience for them.

For those of us that got in on the ground lvl, I wouldn't expect any huge changes outside of the Asura & Sylvari zones. Most of the changes at this point are tweaks. I think the biggest issues will be class balance, bug fixes, and they mentioned a pretty major adjustment to the guild system.

Most of the game will seem more or less the same, but not's not a bad thing. The game is in a really good spot as it is.

I think the biggest surprise will probably be the end of beta event. The last one was pretty cool, even with the snafu. Definitely hope this next one is awesome as well.

    Hopes and expectations:

They've fixed mesmer, as since BWE2 it was gimped to hell with clones being worthless (didn't even take/get aggro), like npc's had an x-ray vision to see which was the real one.

Shatters being useless, specifically the damage one with its horridly nerfed damage, 2h sword auto-attack damage being a joke.

bugged duelist with ever increasing damage and gatlin speed, staff auto-attack being a "hug the ground" missile and not hitting mobs on elevated terrain

pretty much all damage nerfed to abyss par signet of pain.

removal of the stupid PVE portions from sPVP... they've no place in the calculation towards victory in PVP matches.

If it's not fixed by BWE3, i'll have to swap my main to something else. (which i'd rather not do, because all the other classes interest me less than a pile of dung)

http://neocron-game.com/ - now totally F2P no cash-shops or micro transactions at all.

i'll only be "blown away"  if some sembance of class balance exists.  that being said im still very excited.

None, however i do have concerns about game optimizations before launch and how WvW will be with alot of people, i have bad flashbacks about Aion. Last beta ran pretty poor for me, the camera was lagging... Changing to windowed mode and trying different window sizes did nothing to help performance and graphics were sub-par.

I expect these things to be fixed before anything else.
