August 25th is all that matters to me.  They were very smart to bring something new into this final beta weekend since, to be honest, it was KILLING me to play on a character that I knew would be deleted.  Now we can explore some new areas.

If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.

They give you 2500 points to spend on the gem store... Your credit card isn't charge.

"During the beta weekend, we’ll test our secure Gem Store billing system in a live environment, which means you can purchase gems with your credit card or through PayPal.

As we mentioned earlier, we’re wiping all our beta data before launch—including items purchased this weekend—but we’ll keep a record of how many gems you’ve purchased during beta events. When Guild Wars 2 launches on August 28, you’ll receive those gems back on your account."

On this note, if you do purchase gems during next beta weekend, it might be a good idea to keep all the receipts somewhere you can find them. While I do trust the company, Murphy's Law tends to take over any possible situations - If it can go wrong, it will. And in that situation it'll be a lot easier if you have the proof of purchase with all required details.

Can't wait. Ill be buying enough gems to cover at least a couple character slots come launch day, that way I can reserve all my characters as soon as the game goes live.

That's prudent advice for any purchase you do, not only just this.

wondering about this to while i liked the game , performance was realy realy bad for me running i7 , gtx 580 ,. Did got about 30 ish fps on high should get way better fps , compaired to like the secret world that game runs super smooth for me . So i do hope peformance will finaly be fixed otherwise i starting to worry if its something they can fix before launch.

thats weird, i got over 45fps avg on max setting. I too run I7 but only a 570 /shrugs.

50 to 60 FPS here i7 and GTX580 all max settings. Talking WvW too.

If you guys are having performance issues, turn off shadowing, apparently some people saw performance improvements of upto 50%.

is your vid card overclocked they said a while ago if it is you will see a drop in performance. i hope it is fixed and the game runs smooth for everyone. runs great for me i5-2500 6870-1g 8g ram ssd. only time i hit lagg was the BWE 1 final event where there was like 200ppl all hitting 1 mob and i had everything maxed out and was still playable

Ok yeh weird some ppl dont have problems , reallife friend of me has same hardware as i do just better gfx card and he runs it pretty smooth . Still not like it should be but he hits 60 fps mark with bit of luck tho he has follow up from my card gtx 580 not sure what the one after is again . They sayed it should be better at release which i hope since majority of players will have less hardware than most posters on mmorpg.com
