I having fun in pvp but as well all know when someone is having fun in pvp someone is not. Some kid start sending me profanities even calling me a hacker. Saying I was exploiting a glitch to get back up when I was downed. I was killing a boss mob for the 25 points which the other player saw and tried to steal the kill. He downed me and took the aggro but while down I got the last hit in and got the rally and point which allowed me to get up and kill him. So he starts from how it seemed was yelling at me. Saying he's reporting me and going to get me banned. We all couldn't help but to laugh at this. Also a little sad that the gane brings in people like him. He wouldnt even let me explain before he added me to ignore list.

it's not the game per say it's pvp. Ever play any Call of Duty online over teamspeak? holy crap I wanted to shoot myself in the head after listening to many of them. You just get used to it roll with it and move on
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. lol, unfortunately there are people out there like that :P I just laugh or ignore them. The funniest part is that he got that pissed off during a beta...where stats dont matter XD
Sadly, this game will create more of these players than almost any other out there. Why? Because you can't rely on gear, at all, really. PvP comes down to skill, heavily. And that sad truth is most people suck at playing games, so they take out their frustrations on silly stuff like what you explained.
When someone starts acting like that, it means you've won twice.
I never pvped much in past mmos but I loved it in GW2. I'm pretty good too lol

I have played a lot of COD4 but I'm a admin so I make people watch the langauge they use.
This gameplay moment brought to you by players that have not come to grips with the ruleset of this game. A lack of understanding brought the rage down from this player. He did not know about the downed state, lack of kill stealing, etc. Then went ballistic when he wrongly thought his XP was stolen from him, you pk'ed him illegally, all while you legitimately played the game the way it's meant to be played.
This player is now running around telling his guild in whatever other MMO he/she is playing, that GW2 is a botted/hacked POS and should never be played. All I can say is 'wow!'

There is no higher honor in the PvP world than being called a hacker by your opponent
. It means he thinks you are so good that it's not humanly possible lol.

Yeah it's always funny being called a hacker in pvp (whether mmo or even just some FPS) when you aren't cheating in any way.
Man, I would have been pissed.. but in a good way. I know if that was me, the worse I would have called ya was a lucky sob and been looking for your ass for a little revenge (hopefully).
Though, I know I am going to get my ass handed to me on a regular basis. I am getting older, arthritis is starting, and I just dont have the time to hone my skills anymore. But hey, I am having fun and when I do get creamed, I know it was by someone better then me, not someone with better gear.
Though, I did handliy beat someone 1vs1 durring a sPvP match this week end and it felt goooood.
Any time you run into a person who flips out like this it's a great opportunity to practice your ability to ignore people. If you read these forums in the early morning hours (US) you'll see a few of these guys pop up from time to time. Practice ignoring them. Don't respond. Don't correct them. Completely ignore them and go on about your business. Do this enough times and you'll find out that you have much more power over them by ignoring them than trying to convince them that they are wrong.
