Would it be possible that in the future, if a mod decides to lock a thread, they at least state why? Or, preferably, pop in and warn the discussion that it's in danger of being locked and why.
The past 2 days I've seen some interesting threads get locked and for the life of me I have no idea why they were locked.
A good example was this thread:

There was a long and healthy discussion going on and then suddeny, a Mod appeared and locked the thread adding the informative statement of "Locking Thread Down"
Nobody knows why. There was no warning to stay on topic or whatever infraction the Mod deemed to have occured. So it's a mystery to me of what we are "Allowed" to discuss because it seemed so random.
