    DarkCryo never bothered getting the rights to Firefly. Now the game takes a new direction.

    Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

    Hope it doesn't go the same way as Stargate went! or the same way as BSG went (browser mmo crap).

    BSG what a joke of a browser game, they claim to have 1 million subs, but if you ever log in all you see is a few hundred players on each shard.

    Then you have that disaster of a game Stargate that after 5 years all you got was a capture the flag game that was a ripoff of code and that got shut down due to stolen property rights.  The entire game was a huge scam to take investors money.

    Now this, stolen intelectual property I don't think it will see the light of day unless Fox comes to some sort of agreement with them.

    The whole stargate debacle was depressing, I was on those forums for 2 years, and in the end it all came to a 3rd person shooter using part of the engine and even that got shut down pretty quickly. I still have it in my steam games list and it pains me everytime I look at it!

    I thought BSG had such potential and massive amounts of potential lore to make a truly excellent MMORPG, it has politics, it has war, it has different types of planets, it has space combat, ground combat, exploration. It really sucks how it turned out.

    Some of us knew this would happen.  The others said it wouldnt happen because the game is under the same rights as "fanfiction" lawl.  Anyone got a link to that thread?

    I liked the series but I'm not particularly interested in an MMO set in that universe.
